    Re: Miele oven B383/ib/kat

Replaced the oven sensor probe pt1000 recently, checked the corresponding temperture with my oven tester checked out ok.

Had a call from c/x today to say the f5 fault is showing again, it reached the set temperture of 160deg was showing on the screen. He did mention that he was cooking some oven chips and increased the pre set temp to 185 after this the display showed f5 fault which he cant clear.

Is this showing another problem or has the initial fault code got to be cleared?, can it be cancelled manually or does miele have to call with a lap top to do this?

    Cheers

    Thanks for the info sent.

The wiring is like for like any way, its is just the new diamond h switch does not have a terminal S2 and the old strix switch does this means i have no where for it fit!! so the hob warning light wont work.

(LGE6871ER1009A) is the part number converted from Bryans post.

You could always call JTM who is now the main dealer for LG 6871ER1009F and get price should be around £68 + vat This should be the correct part number for that model.

Usually just pcbs at fault, probably caused by power surge?

Not too bad though gone a bit quiet, even insurance work,so have had a chance to have a good clear out and tidy up the shop front.

    Thanks Steve

Do you know if this part is a common fault or could there be a problem with the PCB?

The display shows a temperature of 15degs when it is much hotter.
