i would think its got to be the pressure switch or a blockage in the pressure switch tube or a hole in the pressure switch tube.

ParticipantRe: Late hotpoint motor plugs
they cause the machine not to start, by not allowing the door lock to work.

ParticipantRe: Hoover OPH614 drain hose?
its the same drain hose hoover have been using for years for the pump at the front of the machine in fact it fits every hoover machine with a front filter.

the size of the capacitor wont make any difference to the motor
speed. After being in this game for about 30 years, i am well aware the capacitor is a start capacitor and wont alter the speed i was only advising that the newer motors require a differant capacitor which can cause the motor to stall, i wouldnt think wiring incorectlty would’nt make much differance as the heat is not taken off the heater on reverse tumble unlike the the condensor dryers.
sorry not trying to imply you were wrong about the capacitor i was just thinking out loud.

that is way too fast the new motor must be faulty,

ParticipantRe: hotpoint wdd960 f13
there was no mesh on this one its quite a new machine,
ran it with the door open and got a good flow of air through it
but fan motor keeps cutting out and still showing F13.suedehead1
ParticipantRe: hotpoint wdd960 f13

ParticipantRe: hotpoint wdd960 f13
thought i would use an old post,
i have got the same problem F13 changed the thermistor and checked the wiring thoroughly.
the dryer runs for 10 minutes then the fan motor and heater cut off
then F13 comes up.
spoke to tony at emw who said it wasnt a pcb fault,
any ideas welcome.suedehead1
ParticipantRe: Hoover t/dryer vt360
you should get a reading across the toc i dont think it comes on its own i think it comes as a heater assembly.
