it makes me wonder why people on this site keep recommending customers to buy miele or bosch when both manufacturers try to stop independant engineers from fixing them.
what ever happened to buy british we are so quick to criticise british product and praise foreign makes.

i spoke to partcenter today who told me dwf40p has 2 different pcbs
C00143206 if it is ROHS and C00097890 if it is non ROHS,
i asked what ROHS meant they didnt know and neither do i.
i would not like to order the other pcb to try it and have it not work has anybody got any ideas what ROHS means and can anyone help me out with any ideas of what could be faulty,thanks in advance.

the hole could be where the small hose to drain the water out of when the machine stops full of water. to the right of the filter there should be a hole where this drain pipe would be fitted onto the end is blocked off with a plug which clips onto the cabinet. I was at one the other day pulled the drain pipe out and the end broke off the pump leaving a holo about 1/4 inch diameter. i just put a bolt in it to seal it up.

the dryer has a plastic fan, the fan is located on the shaft by tightening a left hand thred brass nut which clamps it onto the shaft.
there is no shoulder to fit the fan against so if it is too near the fan motor it will rub on the top of the cowling. if it is too far from the fan motor it will rub on the bottom of the cowling.Re: Throw away job or what?
i called out to a fairly new 7kg servis machine with a broken paddle customer washing training shoes, the paddle is not a seperate part it only comes with a tub and drum assembly fortunately for the customer it turned out to be still in guarantee.
