Re: Siemens XL1400 – Pump Cap Removal

i would think that there must be a foreign object in the filter which is preventing it from turning, if you try and force it you will break it.
you will need to remove the sump hose from the side of the pump filter housing to see if anything is in it.
    plug out of course.

if its the heater with the thermistor possibly a bad connection at the thermistor or a broken wire.

Re: When to ring a customers neck…or not

i stripped down an old hoover tumble dryer and used a pair of expensive articulated pliers to break off the plastic front bearings, went out to the van to find no new bearings. tell the customer i would be back next day to put it back together and inadvertently left my pliers.
i new where they were so i wasnt bothered.
went back the next day and my pliers were lying amongst some old tools of the customer, i say to him those are my pliers, he says no they are not.
result is i dont get my pliers back.
i could have smacked the old bstard.
i should have slipped them into my toolbox without mentioning it.

    Re: Why is it….

i had to negotiate with travelling people today i charged them £60 but as a competitor of mine has £10 off with this advert they demanded that i gave them £10 off.
i asked them if they beleived that they would actually get £10 off if they had called my competitor, they said they didnt beleive it, so i said dont beleive i am going to give you £10 off either.
how desperate must you be to put £10 off with this ad.

Re: Hoover TV30 Tumble Drier Thermal cutout

so you have effectivly bypassed an essential safety thermostat on the machine. therefore if for any reason the motor stops turning the heater will come on with no air being blown through it.
the heater will overheat and the auto reset thermostat may start to cut in and out but the one shot themostat cant cut out as you have bypassed it.
if the auto reset sticks you have a potential fire risk.

    time 30 mins. Cost lifes?
