ParticipantRe: Hoover HDV6 Tumble Dryer power switch broke
the switch isnt supposed to stay in it only energises the relay on the small pcb behind the control panel, the pcb will need replaced.

ParticipantRe: triton shower
both halfs of the heater check out ok there is a pcb with a couple of relays on it and the contacts look a wee bit burnt so i dont know know what to do.
i watched the 2 relays while testing it and only one energises so it needs a new pcb thanks for the help i will order one and give it a try.suedehead1
ParticipantRe: triton shower
thanks for he reply it only says opal on it are parts readily available for it,
i think you are right with the half heat it doesnt seem to matter wether i have it on full heat or half heat it is still the same temperature it looks like i will need to get the meter out and check it
thanks for the replies guys.suedehead1
ParticipantRe: Hoover Condenser Tumble Dryer
it could be the relay but it might be the capacitor.

all of the above can cause intermitent faults, solenoid valves can go open circuit when hot and be ok when they cool down pressure switches can do the same a blockage in the pressure switch tube or bell will normally allow machine to fill then empty but not be able to tell the pcb that there is no water in it so it wont fill up again.
pcb has many component which will give an intermitent fault.
thats the problem with intermitent faults.suedehead1

if it stops before the rinse cycle it could be a water valve problem, a pressure switch or pressue switch tube blocked, or the pcb.
