ParticipantRe: Hotpoint TDC32 Stops dead
i have had the same problem with a hotpoint tumle dryer, i replaced the relay due to the usual relay type fault, the new relay went the same way after a month, replaced the new relay and its gone again, i thought it was just a bad relay as it has the classic relay type fault it goes dead trhen if you leave it a couple of minutes you can get it to start again.
anyway to check the timer?suedehead1
ParticipantRe: A real pain in the neck.
i go to the chiropractor every 3 months, i was offered permanent disability 8 years ago for 2 bulging discs in my lower back, chiropractor fixed them in 3 weeks, worth every penny.

Part number 080772
i agree its definately part of the washing machine, i had to remove one from the bottom of the plastic condenser as it was rubbing on the drum, the hole in the middle is where the bolt that goes through the plastic condenser bolts on to it,
definately part of the machine.suedehead1

ParticipantRe: AEG LAVAMAT 74630 NO POWER TO NEW/OPERATIONAL DRAIN PUM
its definately the board if you trace the wires fron the pump they will go to a small square black triac which will be visibly damaged they are only replacable by qualified people i dont even do that myself.
the board is normally “sooty”.
i use “repaired” pcbs all the time the problem is if there is a leak onto the pump it will blow the board again.January 19, 2010 at 9:27 pm in reply to: AEG LAVAMAT 74630 NO POWER TO NEW/OPERATIONAL DRAIN PUMP? #309293suedehead1
ParticipantRe: AEG LAVAMAT 74630 NO POWER TO NEW/OPERATIONAL DRAIN PUM
if water has dripped onto pump then there is a good chance it will have blown nthe main pcb trace the wires back to the board from the pump and look for any damage. plug out first and if its the pcb its going to be expensive.

ParticipantRe: flooded kitchen
no i never checked the fill hose i hadnt taken it off and i had put the machine back before i realised someone had turned the water off. so when i turned it back on i dont know its leaking.
i should have pulled it back out but it was late the machine was in a tight space.
its a no win situation either way i loose a customer.
thanks for the reply Tim. -
