    You may be able to get a “tin lid” for it. Check the Bosch website for details, or perhaps Don may have part no. for it.

    Don’t use it with no feet, as they’re needed for stability.

    I believe they are usually Bosch rebadged, if so shouldn’t be a problem.

    Fan should kick in straight away.

    I would suspect the earth fault will be on the element, as you say the insulation will be breaking down as it gets hotter.

    Only way to know for sure is to megger the element.

    Agree with martin the aquastop valves give up after a while and don’t open fully.

    Good old gunge in the the pressure chamber can keep the red float in the “made” position and give the same symptom as flooded base.

    I assume you mean the light is staying on full not half power.

    If so,you can take the door s/w “cam” out with a terminal driver.

    The rod can then be removed, it should be nice and straight (they usually bend) it can be straightened out gently, apply some silicone grease and refit and all should be well.

    Spin light is also the end light IIRC.
