    Re: Neff butterfly oven elements

It only takes a tiny amount to free it off. As long as you don’t go mad with the stuff no need to worry about smell/smoke 😉

I take off the nut , take the back panel off , take the leads off the fan motor , take the screws out of the fan motor . Back round the front , i place the wooden handle base of my plastic hammer on the fan shaft and smack the hammer head with the palm of my hand . 9 times out of 10 this is enough to dislodge the shaft from the fan blade .

I have this routine down to a T now.

    REALLY 😯

A small squirt of WD40, then hold the shaft with pump pliers and spin the fan blade. A few seconds later the blade is removed.

Loads easier than removing the oven from the housing 😉

First check that water supply is turned on, make sure that all hoses are straight and not kinked.

If the above is ok, then ring Bosch on 08705678910

    Adhesive no longer a required.

It was NEVER required by moi, after going back to one where somebody else had applied a “liberal” bead of the stuff.

    Re: £3 a pint?????

Saturday afternoon in town before a match £1.50 for a cracking pint of Carling 😀

Then £3.90 for a bucket (pint and a half in one) at the ground 🙁

Needless to say more pre match drinking is done.

Yup, attack from the back 😳

The plate you’re talking about is screwed on from the back, but also has a high temperature adhesive applied :rolls:

Said adhesive sticks like sh1t to a blanket, run a stanley knife round a few times; then prise it away with a large flatblade 😉

BTW you’re supposed to re-apply the adhesive after repair, but unless you want to struggle again next time I wouldn’t bother.

I am going to try and fix this, I emptied all the water out of the tray and ran the machine. I can see where the water is coming from quite clearly.

At the top of the red rod running from the drip tray is a microswitch. This is also triggered by a little float chamber to the left. When the machine is filling this is overflowing and sending a trickle of water into the tray.

There does seem to be some gunge inside the plastic components around it.

Does anybody know what my be causing this to overflow, and also how do I assemble this to repair/clean?

    Many Thanks

😯 😯 Shocking, I can’t believe he’s tried to write off a perfectly good m/c because the sump hose and pressure s/w is blocked. Was he trying to get you to buy a new m/c from him?.

I agree with Gegsy’s first reply. If the drain pump runs with the anti-flood s/w made, you don’t have a problem with the pump.

You say you’ve checked the sump hose, but have you removed, stripped and cleaned the pressure chamber it connects to ❓ .

Also have you checked the dump valve on the side chamber for continuity, as this m/c splits it’s fill through the dump valve and the pressure system.

As Greg said the other “clicky” bit would be the diverter on the underside of the heater. So worth checking the simple bits first 😉
