Spent nearly two hours today trying to refit that useless collar, luckily I had slack day.
I am now effectively down to four fingers on my left hand, that hole where the hose fits into the outer tank is like a razor blade 😈
For the record I ended up gluing the thing in place. Told the customer not to use for 24 hours, and not to put it on and leave it (see how confident I am).
It’s on an extended warranty and if it bounces then there is obviously a problem with the outer tank 😆 .

Yeah, medium to large flatblade screwie from the underneath, and don’t be shy with it.
However as Gegsy said, difficult to do without breaking at least one lug off, especially if it’s the first time you’ve done one.

If it was the float at fault surely everytime the machine filled it would overfill
No, when you replace the module there is revised fill logic. Basically the fill for the wash is now timed, then on rinse reverts back to reed s/w assy. Therefore Clive’s theory may be correct (never seen that one myself) makes sense though.
By the way did you replace the overfill mushroom at the same time as the pcb ❓
