Re: Bosch WFR 2860 long cycle times

I’m sure this m/c would show an error code if heater is o/c.

Had one just last week with o/c heater and it showed up en error code on test prog.

As Greg says it could possibly be an out of calibration NTC.

Think it may well be engineer time now.

If the machine completes it’s cycle, then to be honest I doubt there is anything wrong with it.

This m/c is very sophisticated electronically, and any faults would abort the cycle altogether and show a fault code.

It’s not possible that somebody has altered the the settings for the wash is it?.

TBH I don’t even bother with test progs on dishwashers. Just stick it on a quickwash (takes about the same time as test prog anyway) and see what happens.

Sounds like a module or a flooded base to me.

I’ve just found out that since Reading FC will be in the Premiership next season the gate price has gone up from £25 to £41

Ah the price of success eh Martin.

Luckily I’m a season ticket holder so all the games are paid for in one go, but a mate of mine came to the Newcastle match with us last weekend and the cheapest ticket was £31 😯

I can remember when I was a lad paying 5 or 6 quid to go to the match.

You could sell me a crosspiece for a WM21050

If I had one GB in the current economic climate of my wallet it would cost you a grand 😆

Yeah if it’s just leaked to base then seal kit should solve it no problem.

As Martin says as long as there is no noise from bearing you’ll be ok.

How easy/difficult is this motor to fit? Can it be done without dismantling the tub?

Very easy job, depending on the installation of course 🙄

Remove side panels, front panel and the plate holding the loom in place and rhs door spring. Take out the torx screws at front and rear holding tank to base. Then hinge tank over to gain access.

To remove motor a plastic spring clip holds it in place at about one o’clock position, just push and twist motor off. EASY EH 😀

I would appreciate a part number for this motor if you have one

    Motor – 266520

Seal kit – 165813 you WILL need this too.

So whats the answer BSH MAN? Replace metering unit and ribbed hose and if really gunged the water matrix??

Think he may be thinking flooded base problem Greg. However if it was just gunged up sump hose then cleaning will do the job, for a couple of years at least.

    Re: Wfb2004gb/13 skips spin

I’ve certainly replaced timers for that fault on many occassions. But the wfb intermittantly not spinning could also be the speed control board or pressure s/w.

Also have a good look at the motor loom and plug, had quite few of those with dodgy connections and broken wires.

    Re: Neff Fan Oven Replacement

Hold the motor shaft with pliers or grips, then spin the fan blade, it will eventually spin more freely. You should then be able to pull the fan blade off the shaft with your grips.

Failing this, use a blow lamp to heat the blade.

    Try checking motor plug

    By all means.

    and brushes.

May take awhile that one, brushless motor on WFP 😉

It may be expensive to replace the motor, if it’s not just a bad connection.

A rinse hold cycle is NOT complete until you turn to a drain program :lesson: to empty the water.

    Re: Bosch SGS43A D/W sticking.?

Initial complaint was that machine was sticking on cycle

Probably fill float sticking thus constantly fill/empty on the mushroom.
Replace pcb with revised logic and new safety system (mushroom).

PS. how does the top of the mushroom come off?

It doesn’t, whole assy must be removed. Take base off, cut ball off bottom of mushroom stem, then snap stem above barbs, remove from inside tank.

P.S. a blob of grease helps hold the polystyrene float in place when refitting base 😉

By the description of the old motor there is a good chance you have a damaged power module (295666) around the £200 mark

    Agreed.
