TBH when it’s commercial especially it’s the best thing to do. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.

What would you be invoicing them for?

The customer cleans the filter so what more can the customer do?

There must be something wrong with the door/filter. It reads as the problem has only just developed. Its been in use for more than a year before the problem developed.

I’ll look into the other bit of it Tim but, essentially, the customer is sent a certificate for the warranty every time.

I know certificates are sent to the customer but you know what customers are like. 😉

It would be much easier to send us a duplicate so we know that registration has been successful.

John, I know you phoned the office but I thought it was left for me to contact you to make arrangements. I haven’t got anything pencilled in for friday. 😳

I can do a dawn or dusk meeting at the mo. Let me know.
    Thanks for the post.

    Tim.

Putting my other thoughts to one side for now.

The reason I’m stressing the point is that David was telling me yesterday that there have been some that have not been registered and there are some disappointed customers out there now.

I always thought the registration side of things was a bit vague.

    Let me explain;

We e-mail the registration form to ise admin. Thats it.

We do not know if the registration has been processed.

A return e-mail confirming registration would be good and even better a copy of the warranty that is sent to the customer.

    Is that possible?

    Tim.

    Thanks Lawrence.

I’m not playing Devils Advocate here but I am just interested in the finer details.
When you look at the difference in trade prices of both machines I think the finer details are necessary.

    Re: ISE AW23

Looking through the Portway stuff I picked up at the meeting is the AW23 the same as the AWCN14D amica machine?

Also, out of interest who covers Amica’s 2 year guarantee?

I haven’t been able to catch up with John yet, my fault not his, so don’t know much about the machine.

    Is it made by Amica?

As of yet I haven’t had to retrieve one from a machine.

They have been around a fair while in my ‘neck of the woods’.

I did think about buying a packet for every child in my daughters class?

    99p per child…..good investment I was thinking. 😉

    Thanks.

I’ve ordered the version 2 lifters and will see how it goes.

The version 3 are £9 each now at connect, the version 2 are £12.95 for 3.

    Re: Door boot springs

I find those clamps ideal on any machine where the front panel dosen’t come off.

I got a bag full of different size clamps from B & Q.

In my GBDAR days…..when the newer Servis range came out, it was the only way I found to hold the spring in place.

Re: Bosch 154740 carbons- who’s the cheapest?

What’s wrong with the pattern ones anyway? I’ve fitted nothing else on all the Bosch machines I repair and never had any complaints

    Same as that.

You chaps who like to fit genuine but feel the price is putting people off could always offer two prices, one for fitting genuine and one for fitting pattern. ❓
