I agree, go for the bottom module.

I’ve changed a few of these for drying issues.

Its one of those jobs even if you study the tech info, if there is any, you may still not be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. Go for the most obvious board first.

On another note its cheaper than the main module and fits numerous other models.

How are people getting on with the new site?

I have found it alot more time consuming to find the parts.

Also the everyday spares are still alot more than connect, which I never thought would happen.

I haven’t ordered from homespares for months now always connect, it has totally reversed.

You might get lucky with this selection:

When you say ‘recently’, did the dryer work ok for a while? Or has it never worked since you changed the relay?

So the door locks and nothing happens?

Take a picture of the printed circuit board for us.

If the board has 2 large white resistors on it then these are the next thing to check.

    Power off!

Hello Mike, I phoned Hotpoint yesterday who said it was obsolete. 😥

I did look at ‘my tub’ but having not used them before I was reluctant to give them my card details for them to keep me waiting an age to be told weeks later they can’t get it.

Have you used ‘my tub’ before?

    Cheers.

    I used these:

Have a look at my ‘www’ below.

You could probably make it alot more fancy but, for me, its enough.

    Re: servis module

I’m sure I’ve got one or two of these modules. They should be new and unprogrammed.

Saying that they did come direct from Servis so they could be repaired and programmed. 😉

If you want I can look into for you.
Do you have the handheld unit if they are programmed??

Does it run well at full speed?

    Connector off module.
Connect Live and Neutral wires together that go to module.
    (Belt off machine as well.)

Excuse me if you knew the above.

Re: Servis M6115 – module fault or something else?

The problem you have is quite common and caused by a poor solder joint on the back of the main module.

The poor solder joint is on one of the relays which switch the motor on/off.

Clean the solder joint up and re-solder.

    That should do the trick.

Make sure the machine is unplugged from the electrics and label any wiring if you take connectors off.

If you feel this is to involved for you to undertake please find a local engineer to call out.

If, when she does what you suggested, it dosen’t stop on the rinse anymore I would say you have your answer.

Plenty on this site about the sealed drums manufacturers are using now.

Not sure if you would be able to source the drums direct from the producer??

Assuming Goatboy has now washed the filter time will tell.

I guess they haven’t washed the filter for as long as they have had the drier so do these skin flakes take that long to build up?

    Who wants my tuna sandwiches?
