Re: Hoover HDC6 UK – How do I get inside to change the Heate

Some would suggest taking the front off and removing the drum.

I have managed to change the heater by pushing in the ty-wrap stud into the machine you can then carefully pull out the wiring.

You can then with nimble fingers push the new ty-wrap end back in place. (with the help of a wire coat hanger or something similar).

    Well worth the fiddle.

Unplug the machine electrically of cause!!!!

    Re: Delivery problems

Should have received an ISE10 washing machine today / yesterday.

    No show unfortunatley.

Got a pretty miffed customer so was wondering if somebody could chase it up for me?

    p.s. (a minor thing)

I also have a customer who wants to see one in real life, I asked David if he knew of a showroom in Beds or Herts, he hasn’t let me know.

    Thanks, Tim.

What were your Insulation readings of the machine?

I wouldn’t trust the council PAT tester.

There is a test sequence out there somewhere, a search should find it.

    Re: Hotpoint WM22 door lock

The door interlock used to come with 2 new self tapping screws.

You may have to find two self tapping type screws that will fit.
Make sure they aren’t too long as they will damage the new door seal.

    Re: ISE help please!!!

The fact that its going through the cycle and its not flashing any error codes I would say its the door handle or door lock at fault.

Leave it unplugged for a while the door lock may gradually release itself.

Other than a firm tap on the door handle, careful now, a call to your retailer will be in order.

    Re: ISE help please!!!

Have you taken the plug of the machine out of the socket rather than just switching the socket off?

Leave it unplugged and try the door again after a few minutes.

Make sure the water level isn’t above the glass when you try.
As you have checked the filter I would imagine that all the water is out of the machine but better to be safe than sorry.

    Re: Servis M301w

Not sure if this matches your model????

Two white wires to thermistor side. 2 grey wires to thermostat side. Grey from thermostat to heater.
The thermostat/thermistor has 4 tags. Two tags are the normally closed thermostat side and the other two tags are the thermistor side. Ring them out two determine which is which, 0 ohms is the thermosat side.

Hope this tallys with your machine.

    Re: ISE agent work

Stocking a machine is your choice as well as any spares.

When the ISE5 first came out we were armed with a selection of spares.
On the latest machines spares are stocked at your own expense.

As always in this trade having new machines and spares in stock create a better service.

On the one drum job I have had to undertake I loaned the customer a machine and took their one to the workshop. 😉

    I haven’t been reprimanded yet. 🙂
