Could just be the selector itself. The small pcb unclips from the case.

You’ll have fun finding the spring and metal ball.

I had one the other day with this fault. Wiring to the circ. pump looked ok
until I tugged on the wires. One of the wires was broken. New spade connector and all ok.

    Update:

Didn’t even get to give her the price she jumped the gun and went and bought an Indesit built-in. 😯

Just got back from installing it for her. She said she bought Indesit because her old one was good. What could I say??

Re: Hotpoint WD420 Door locking but no door lock light

Check the harness to the motor and the motor itself.

Normally, if I remember correctly, the fault would be door locked and neon on. Then nothing else happens.

Re: Hoover HNF2137-80 door lock light keeps flashing

Does the machine do anything, fill, pump???

I’ve never had the door lock light flash. Are you sure its not one of the option lights flashing? Is there a pattern of flashes?

Normal hoover codes for that range are a certain number of flashes in a 15 second period.

Re: Bosch drain pump seized solid!

Martin I feel your pain, had some numpty of a customer do exactly the same.

Now two weeks after the event my hands are still dry and even more paper thin than normal.

I’m just glad I didn’t wipe my eyes. Or worse lick the substance thinking it was hardened salt. 😯

Not that I have a habbit of licking unknown blockages. 😀

I will now of course be asking all customers if they have tried to unblock machine with any chemicals.

    Re: I love indesit

I wouldn’t go as far as to say I love indesit. 🙂

But yep they certainly help pay the MPs expenses.

I wonder if Indesit were or are on Martins “Black List”??

Re: Has qualtex inmproved on their bosch brushes?

I use Homespares 9991 or Connect CBN2222 brushes and have very little problem with them.

I had one Exxcel range machine that needed alot of cycles to get the brushes seated. The only regular thing I have to do is file the width slightly to stop them being too tight in the holder. I’ve never had to go back to a bosch motor yet, (touch wood).

On the P55 motors I have never had an issue with fitting new brushes.

Maybe I’ve just been lucky but i’ll stick with the pattern brushes for now.

    Re: Delivery problems

After the lost order I now have a no show on the delivery.

I checked with David at 4pm today and he said they can be as late as 5pm.

Is there anyway of getting hold of the delivery company this evening?

I really don’t want to have to make anymore excuses to the customer.
