Afternoon,
I didn’t know you did training.
I thought the WTA were working towards a recognised qualification.
I did look into a course, think it was in Hatfield, but Im sure it was 5 days a week for a couple of weeks.What do you offer Bryan?

As a WTA member I’ve been trying for ages to get ‘trained up’ on refrigeration but nothing seems to have come of Ian Dales work on sorting courses? Is there something new on the horizon?

Sounds like you’ve caused it to leak and the safety float has activated in the base of the machine.

Wedge the spring at 12 o’clock, feed the spring round stretching and wedging as you go. That’s it job done.

You need an insulation tester. The pressure vessel is the part that the pressure tube leads down to.

An earth fault on the heater can cause door unlock problems. Whilst your checking that make sure the pressure vessel isn’t blocked.
Power off of course!!

I have had one or two instances of the polystyrene float shrinking to about 1/4 of its original size, becoming hard, like a small biscuit and useless as a float.
One was in a beauty salon so I suspected that the creams and lotions they were using could have caused it, the other one was in domestic use and I didn’t really pin down the cause but it has to be some sort of chemical reaction.
I have seen pump impellors fall off on many occasions though.

Sometimes giving the timer a hard tap with a hammer releases the contacts. Only to prove the point though, not as a permanent fix…

On some of these, not sure on your model, out of circuit motor causes display issues.
