    Pump and sump are the same set up as the old quattro & performa range of machines. But the controls are as the newer Nextra range. (If you need to perform diagnostics.)

    If it wasnt sticking and pulsing before repair then logically it would seem you have put it back together differently to what it was. I dont know the wiring off the top of my head but i dont think Im allowed to say even if I did. Not much help really, sorry.

    Out of curiosity how much are you buying the WAE24166’s for?

    £259.95 plus VAT.

    WAE28166 £279.95 plus VAT.

    Thanks for the replies. I do use Swift. What do you add on per machine? I find most of Swifts prices to be the same as the on-line shops. I like to put at least £60 on a sale.

    Thanks for that. The customer also wanted the vent hoses cleaned. Looking at one of the schemes the dryers vent through solid metal ducting with a 90 degree bend at each end (2 metres in length), would JLA have a technique to clean this pipework or would they just check airflow?

    Went to a customer yesterday, She said;

    ‘I only got £40 out as thats how much you charged my Dad to repair his machine.’

    Is this the drain pump or circulation motor (pump)?

    Take out condenser and reach through and remove any gunge. If you feel carefully you will find a hole which could be blocked. A long ty-wrap will do the trick. Also check the condenser bottle valve & plunger is working properly. If all else fails throw the machine about a bit, you’ve got nothing else to loose. 🙂

    Don’t worry, there’s loads of entrants from foreign pastures about that will do it for £50.

    As in ISE drum jobs or do you mean drum bearing jobs in general.

    Thank goodness for seal tubs then, thats all I can say.

    Good, meaty jobs that you can get your teeth into.

    Very true but for £50, I’d rather not. 🙂
