ParticipantRe: Heating elements
I find on this range and the wf series of machines that doing a 95 degree wash can cut out the heater.

ParticipantRe: Hoover/Candy new control units
If its the latest Optima range, arm yourself with a can of switch cleaner. Done loads of them. No need to change the board. The nextra range you can change the selector on its own mind.

There were two versions depending on timer fitted. You may be able to roughly work out programme sequence by working out the off positions.
Be careful though you don’t want to get the cycles wrong!

ParticipantRe: washine machine filling when off
This should do the trick. It should have a non-return valve in it as well. They do get fluffed up over time though.

Make sure you have a 1.5m 19/22mm end drain hose to use with it.

ParticipantRe: AEG 3085VI
To be honest no. No user error was displayed, went through cycle and ended but no heat at end. (On 65oC wash.)
The 30 minute wash worked fine for me.
Do you have diagnostics for this model? Ta.timdowning
ParticipantRe: Bosch WAE24164GB Heater shorting electrics.
The bearings could be sound but I bet the drum spider isn’t!
Same thing happens often on the old WM range of Hotpoints.

ParticipantRe: Bosch w/dryer WVD24520GB/01
The dryer element was heating but what was the insulation?
It could be that too much water was going in, as in the restrictor has come out of position?timdowning
ParticipantRe: Bosch w/dryer WVD24520GB/01
Did you look at the flow of water into the appliance as its drying? Could be valve related. (Did you insulation test the heater?)

This switch is behind the lower plastic panel. Totally separate to the door interlock.

Does this model have the microswitch behind the condenser door?
