Re: Bosch SGS5362GB/01 not heating water – PICTURES ADDED

Assuming they can repair the module do ask them what they think could have damaged the blown connection.

Its rare for a module to blow on its own accord. There are a number or factors which could have caused the module to fail.

The last thing you want to do is plug in the repaired board and it go pop again.

    Re: AW23 Locked out?

It can also reset itself, after turning to desired program then setting any extra wash options / rinse options / spin options then press start it just goes back to 0.

Yep my customer mentioned the same.

Don’t know what to suggest? I don’t think she was overly happy with me pointer the finger at her.

    Re: AW23 Locked out?

    Went to this one yesterday.

Start button had got stuck in. Causing the start switch to be permanently activated. Took the fascia and display board apart & re-alligned button etc.

    All ok now.

After testing the machine a number of times & telling the customer, once again, about the E54 being caused by rapid pressing of the start button, the machine on my last test threw up E54.
E54 occured by just turning the selector I hadn’t even touch the start button.

Luckily I managed to reset the fault before the customer came down with her first load of washing. 😉

This may be of help in reporting back to Amica? Has anyone else had the E54 happen for them?

(This machine is 4 times a week use by a 60 something lady in an immaculate house, so misuse I would say is not likely.)

Makes my blood boil this sort of thing. Selfish to the core some people. Unfortunately becoming more common.

(They wouldn’t get your side of things even if you explained it to them a million times.)

I wonder what the ‘Karma’ will be on what they have done?

    You were quite handsome then!

And some people, on this site, liken you to a troll.

Light 2 on its own isn’t an error as far as I can recall?

You say it does nothing just the wash??

If the machine fills, circulates and drains ok. And you have checked the heater then I would go for the board. Make sure you order the board using the serial number as there are normally two types.

    Re: New appliances

I think theres a number of people on this site that sell Amica and Statesman appliances.

I’m not sure if you can buy direct?

I personally have an account with Hoover and find I can generally make £60 to £80 profit per sale.(And still be competing with the big boys.)

    Hoover Sales : 01685 725572.

There is also ISE machines but they retail at a higher cost.

A test sequence would be great.

Also fault codes would be good.

    Thanks.

    Re: Hoover module fuse

I had the same model of machine today.

    No motor action as well.

Initial fault was apparently error 09 not pumping, machine full enough of water to flood floor when door opened.

Checked wiring from board to motor, all ok.

I didn’t bother checking fuse as I had already read this post.
Advised them to use 5 years parts cover.

    🙁

I may have one of those in my GBDAR box.

Let me know if you want me to have a look. The box is not very accessible. But will have a look if you want me to.
