From a safety point of view please remember that electricity and water don’t mix. Please use extreme care when using the hair dryer around the melting ice.
    I use this method also.

Re: Ariel powder stupid man question

    Great thanks.

Our boxes only have 2 or 3 splats so I was guessing anything other that heavy soiling was 2.
Then I started to think and that’s when it got dangerous 🙂

I understand what you are saying regarding the postage but isn’t 13 quid worth saving the machine for instead of paying out for a new one.
Is this really the time to worry about that? That’s a great cheap fix and sometimes we just have to take the pain, no?
RS is worth a shot as said above.

    Thanks Martin,

Yup, yellowed due to tumble drying.

I think the problem is we only use non bio on everything because of the little people and my misses can’t be persuaded until the youngest is much older.

I shall send them to the rags bin.

    Cheers

Hi mrdad, sorry I don’t know anything about the problem you have but if you are new to forums you should know that using capitals (caps lock) is seen as shouting and many people find it rude.
I don’t as everyone has to learn this tinterweb stuff 🙂
Hope you get it fixed, this is a great forum

Good point I’ll check – why is it sometimes you never think of these simple questions?

    Re: Random Wet Dog Smell

Thanks for the replies, it was a new install with new plumbing, New kitchen etc. His water is medium hardness 8 Clarke and he uses salt but no rinse aid as he uses tablets.
Like you say the only thing can be the waste.
He has no animals either, and always uses the 60 wash.
I’ll see what his plumbing looks like, I know it uses the trap adapter not a stand pipe arrangement.
    Thanks

Re: detergent, rinse aid and salt supplies?

    Hello Martin.

    Salt tablets? really?
I was looking at a 10kg or 25kg granules from a softener supplier as I thought you could only use granules, I am now re educated once again.
Any thoughts on the detergent or rinse aid? Bryte for instance? Or just look for the best deals in the supermarkets and bulk buy?

    Thanks
