ParticipantRe: my 1st small claim
I would be her best friend, all the time you are getting money and when you get more business from her…….make sure you charge more i.e. just put your prices up, not in a nasty way but if challenged you can just explain that lots of people are taking too long to pay.
It isn’t personal it is just business!
If I had to fill in a CC form I would be refering to my T & C’s which I list on my invoices as being available at any time to view at http://www.etcetc my T&C’s clearly state that any late payment will be liable to a late payment collection charge of of 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} for each term that goes by i.e. £300 bill thirty days if it takes sixty days the charge will be a further £90.

BUT….if you were paying asda to distribute to your own shops, would you be happy if they did this? I think it is hilarious in a warped kind of way :rotfl:
I am all for fair competition this just seems…..ODD?
I am glad not to be a retailer of white goods …..repairs are just fine thanks 😀

ParticipantRe: Your opinions on a small claim….
Mark,
The other option is to consider using a debt coolection agency, you get lifetime collections of any debt for a one off fee of £95 ish (Not £100 PER YEAR as I said in my last reply) and then they charge 15{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of any money they collect.
I really don’t like this route BUT it takes away the hassle of worrying about it yourself – how much time has it cost you so far?
I am pretty sure that a letter stating that “further costs will be added should court action be needed” would persuade most people.
To be honest mate we all know here who is in the wrong! I just would NOT let them get away with it.

ParticipantRe: CNA trading appliances ???
Thanks both!
The rings were reported to be “Cutting out” mid cooking i.e. pan of water would suddenly stop boiling and then start again a few minutes later!?
I though it was just simmering and the stat was switching on/off BUT went to look and have since been informed that the hob is only a month old so still under guarantee :bang:

Don’t regas domestic now but always used nitrogen when we did and I have to say it was more succesful with than without, less system blockages but yes it does take MUCH longer.

ParticipantRe: Parts only guaranteed for 90 days !!!
I hate to bring it up again BUT how then would I fare in a court of law if,for instance, A ….lets say neff oven element that I guaranteed for 90 days fails after 91 days?
My belief is that if the customer did, take me to court in this instance they would win because the manufacture gives a 12 month guarantee.
SORRY for going very slightly off topic but I am interested to see how we would stand legaly regarding guarantee periods, do you all state in writing your guarantee period?
What guarantee is the norm from indys I wonder?
