Ah…..so there isn’t a fault then? Tell that to the bod that decided to issue a tech bulletin.

Be fair if that was someone you knew would you be saying the same? What if you go out and fit a new belt to an indesit and two days later the drum flys to pieces…..bad manufacturing or your workmanship? What is the customer going to asume.

I for one am sick to death of working on C**P appliances with cases so thin you have to wear kevlar sleeves to avoid a nasty cut!

I just do not “Get” people defending cheap shoddy appliances :rolls: Thank goodness for the ISE10

Exactly ! Who would be bothered about a couple of washing machines being outside someone else’s property !

Because he runs a business in a residential area! :rolls:

In order for a builder to store bricks & mortar outside his home in a residential area he has to get the local councils permission. A scaffolder needs permission to store his scaffolding. A landscape gardener his mixer, wheelbarrow and mowers etc etc…..

Mike probably lives in a posh neighbourhood (like me) where neighbours take pride in where they live and don’t wish to see this sort of junk lying about in public view. If I were to leave just part of a washing machine outside my house, never mind a whole one, Nanny Knickers across the road would be straight on to the District Council offices. Probably (knowing her) she would ring the town’s Mayor who resides in our pretty little village as it so happens.

Running a business from a private residence and you have to play the system. No ‘ifs or buts’ but tow the line or suffer the consequences.

EXACTLY! Your last line sums it all up

You have already wasted too much time on her write it off, don’t go back at all, just send her a Christmas card and say you are sorry she can’t afford to pay you and good luck in the new year!

I promise you that will give you far more satisfaction than “Winning”

You are right – she is wrong! we all know that.

You didn’t comply….there is no argument is there?

I would write to the council and grovel and then if needs be, go to court and beg forgiveness. I certainly wouldn’t try to “Fight” the local council.

The more important question is why does a nieghbour feel the need to complain? I think that is the point that needs addressing.

    Motor start capacitor?
Just a thought……maybe when it tries to reverse tumble the cap is not performing.

might be nonsense but worth a shout i thought ❓

Will ring you back madam once i establish price from supplier.

connect £68.56 , rings madam, gives good news, madam declines and will live with it!

No loss to me. why worry? lol.

Just go with it guys ya wont win it.

I wrang them months ago on this very issue, my account was altered but now i think theyv’e sneaked it back up as the prices are becoming like they were.

I just order from someone else when this is the case on a item/spare so its their loss in my view.

I quoted a connect price for a baumatic oven timer a while back. It was so expensive the customer ordered a new oven. Then I get a call from VERY angry customer saying Baumatic quoted her retail price for her clock of less than half the connect price that I had quoted!

I lost the customer for good! NOW I always check around for prices.

iadom wrote:It appears that the Indesit Company is entirely at fault for these failures, chavs the customers concerned may be, but the fault was nothing to do with the age or the way the machine was used, purely down to production, or so a little bird told me. 😉

Couldn’t agree more! The machine was faulty. If this was an elderly lady living on her own, the reaction would be SO different?

Bottom line is these appliances should never leave the drawing board never mind the factory! What are we getting? ….More & more crap appliances shipped into the UK from China & beyond.

This should be all over the news & then people might just think twice about buying “Cheap” appliances ❗
