ParticipantHi Dave,
Thanks for that. Actually, now I think of it I repaired a similar model about a year ago. Wiring had failed at the hinge, just out of warranty!September 12, 2023 at 12:49 pm in reply to: Britannia SI – 12TP – SS range, right hand oven selector switch #488008Washdisher

ParticipantHi Stratfordgirl, Thanks for your input. Dampers and mounts ‘looked’ ok. Not ruling out user error, but this does seem to be a thing with this range of Beko machines

July 17, 2021 at 1:27 pm in reply to: Howden (Beko) HJA8900 washer dryer main board identification #477872Washdisher
ParticipantHi Dave,
Thanks very much for your offer of help. I had two different boards supplied by Connect:
1. On the basis of a PNE – BEK2437301301
2. By searching against model number – BEK2437301300This morning I fitted number 2., and I was relieved to find that the machine worked fine on all functions inc dryer. I couldn’t be bothered to try number 1. (too hot and working in a cramped utility) so that’s for an other time. FYI I recently found a forum thread suggesting that the old design board fails due to diode D7, and that it is repairable by replacing with diode Schottky THT 100V 2A. They’re available on Ebay for about a fiver for eight.

ParticipantJust checked the link and it doesn’t work! If you Google the mod nr you’ll find same. I was getting a fault message when I tried to upload my png file

ParticipantDuring my last visit I’d reduced the freezer temp and this has got the ice working again. Hope I haven’t caused unnecessary scratching of heads!

ParticipantAfter careful examination of the old, disintegrated, selector switch I noticed that the selector cam rotates on a ramp for the first quarter turn. Seems I’ve fitted the stat upside down.

ParticipantRe: Smeg DI 612A dishwasher stops after 5 mins
Got a feeling it’s detecting open heating circuit. Had something similar with a Smeg and as I recall you can hear the heater relay click just before it drains and starts beeping. Mind you that wouldn’t explain cycles where it cold rinses 1st, but maybe have a look and see if I’m right.

ParticipantRe: Looking for inspiration
Probably easier to put full T+Cs on your website. Then include on invoices etc ‘see website for full T+Cs’.

ParticipantRe: Bosch SMV69T20GB/51 sump replacement
I guess you mean the seam between the steel upper and plastic lower of rinse tank. If that’s the case I’ve successfully sealed with high temp silicone without splitting the two halves. Be aware that these machines seem to leak from just about everywhere.
