Make sure you clean the top of the detergent tray (where water drop down into the tray) as on Bosch machines, they can get blocked and perhaps water squirts at a weird angle (dental floss picks are great for that job). Also clean the detergent tray itself. It comes off, and so does the syphon device on it. If that’s blocked you might be getting some overflow. My guess is there is also a crack somewhere, maybe not in the detergent tray itself, but in the detergent tray housing, or a gap between the top and bottom part. Also check there is no leaks from the hoses to the dispenser tray from the inlet valves.

If we ever get an antibody test, only way it will be nearly entirely safe for me to do repairs is if it comes back positive. So far I’ve not experienced symptoms, doesn’t mean I haven’t had the virus (cos some lucky sods will never show any), and there’s no way I’m going into an at-risk person’s home, even for ‘essential’ repair.

Or if I have had symptoms and have recovered + 14 days, which is the WHO advice.

Just been to same model with same error (E60). I found a load of fluff, some dry, some wet, in the front fan wheel housing and around thermistor. Didn’t find humidity sensor though, is it in the same area?
Told to customer to see how they go. If they call me back I’ll have to look at that sensor. Also what is the sequence to go in and out of engineering mode? I tried various button combination without success.

Mine was 4 parts: on a Hotpoint washer dryer, door interlock, door handle to cure problem + mains lead and suppressor, and dryer heater to make it safe (still not sure how it didn’t trip electrics as insulation was near 0). £45 worth of parts + labour (which also included wet and dry side service).

    Not that many then…

Usually replace, zero, one, or at the most two parts for a repair.

Door lock was indeed faulty. I fitted a pattern part and it did lock but wouldn’t unlock. Had to use the toggle to release. So either I was unlucky or maybe really only use genuine door lock, which unfortunately is very pricey.

Thanks Murv, sounds like I’d better go for the genuine seal then. I can now see some difference between the two seals, wasn’t so obvious on the photos I’d seen before because of the angle there were taken at.

So I guess my next question is, will the 10/14 fit instead of the 10/18?

Thanks, slightly better but still not enough to be readable unfortunately. 🙁 Are you or someone else able to answer my questions?

Thanks Don! Unfortunately I can’t read any of it as too low res. 🙁
Wondering if it’s one of those where you can easily take out the spider? And what are the references for the bearings and seal?

Just to say I did attend the call after all, and a self-billing invoice was raised, so in all probabilities, it will be paid. And they have also sorted out my access to the Engineer log in so I can get to the technical info again.

Steve, I hope you get resolution for your outstanding jobs.
