ParticipantI don’t have a Connect account. Actually Qualtex have the other one: 12138100010082 (it comes up when I type in 12138100010732), so it sounds like one might have superseded the other.
I’m doing a part enquiry with ASWO as they also both come up.

However it doesn’t look completely like the one on the machine, which has a curved handle instead of a square one.
After a bit more digging, I found part no 12138100010732 (#U851871 on ASWO).Both might fit, they look extremely similar, but I can’t be sure. I’ve sent an enquiry to Qualtex as they have 12138100010732 listed, but without a surcharge like ASWO.

ParticipantSounds to me like the usual pcb fault on Samsungs. Usually they run for longer than a minute, but otherwise similar.

Yeah after looking it up, that’s also what I was suspecting and was trying to narrow it down to that by asking people on here if they could access it. I’ve just tried it and It seems to be working again. Which makes me think it could also have been a glitch with the site. Was rather inconvenient as ASWO lists most parts and I use the site a lot on the go to price up parts for customers once I’ve diagnosed the problem with their machine.Lucie

This time I was trying to find out info about QER.
That said, you have to admit it’s really quite unfortunate in this field of work not to be able to look up topics where a certain error code (or whatever it is that is invariably 3 letters long) is mentioned… but I get why now.washingmachinewoman
ParticipantWent back this morning and was able to work out how this model works. It has an Auto clean function.
As far as I can tell the pump comes on, which feeds the water up into the water container. Said water container has a trap door-like flap at the bottom towards the front. The pump stops, then a small metal rod sticks out and pushes the lever that opens the flap, some of the water is fed back down on top of the front of the evaporator, is filtered through the insert I mentioned a couple of messages up, and goes back to the pump. The pump then comes back on again and pumps up the water again. This cycle is repeated every few minutes.I was able to establish there was no problem with the pump, but my guess is that the customers had not been removing the fluff from the various filters often enough and that would have probably caused the problem. I removed some lint that seemed to be blocking what looked like a grid or a groove just before the evaporator, which may or may not have made a difference. They had also been ignoring the machine’s pleas to run a maintenance programme (indicated by the letters CrE for 5 seconds when switched on).
I don’t get to work on top end machines very often, so rarely encounter this level of sophistication. However, the system seems very prone to blockages if not maintained regularly. There are 4 filters to keep clean, which might be asking too much of users!
