Participantwhat a cheek!!..some of these big companies get too big for thier boots….I wonder if Indesit will try to bully yellow pages not to take my adverts..I have just renewed them too fro next year.
Admittedly, I do get lots of enquiries (between 1-10 a week) from people up and down the country wanting manuals or service calls and who have asked 118 or yell.com for hotpoint or creda and been given my number, but they always seem disa pointed to discover that I its just me and I wont travel 120miles to fix thier under guarantee washing machine.
If I am not breaking any laws with my advertising and I’m sure that I’m not then perhaps they could make me some sort of financial offer if it bothers them that much..LOLOL to change my wording.
somehow, I think that i would rather deal with British airways than indesit!

ParticipantMy new van has no logos on it just hotpoint and creda specialist (my website has been long abandoned as you can probably tell)…the guy seemed to be interested in my yellow pages advert only and also why my business came up when asking yell.com for hotpoint or creda….I will await indesits letter or phonecall and post back.

ParticipantRe: phone call from indesit
I think that they are looking to place adverts in yellow pages and are eyeing the opposition, he seemed to be most interested in knowing exactly when I worked for them..I dont suppose that I am telling any untruths and my advertising states that I am a specialist and not that I am purporting to be them themselves!

ParticipantRe: P&G detergent training
Gill geary rang me again today and asked if I would like to meet up, I told her that she had already made an appointment with me for the 19th and had welched on it, so no I wouldn’t care to meet up.
On the same note, she turned up in a electrical wholesalers and appliance repair centre today (tuesday) in my area, to do detergent training after making an appointment for wednesday (tommorrow) with them, so she didn’t hang around because of the bad parking apparently, and didn’t even talk detergent with the owner because the shop was busy, but was asking him if he could arrange for local engineers to come in and see her at his premises if she made another appointment, he ofcourse has much more on his mind than doing her legwork and politely refused, he told me this afternoon that she seemed to want to use his premises like some sort of training centre..she didn’t even leave him any samples…I’m a little confused as to why this woman makes appointments and then just disregards them, surely she would know that people who live around a diary cannot be arsed about.

Thanks for the info, so that is why she didn’t get in touch because I was quite specific about asking her if she was from an agency or P&G and she told me that she was actually employed by P&G…obviously a fib on her part.
tsk tsk

ParticipantRe: P&G detergent training
well, Gill Geary from P&G didn’t get in touch as she had arranged for the 19th, so obviously I will be equally as helpful should she make contact again.

ParticipantI would be intersted to hear what you discover and failing that, I will report back after our meeting that is scheduled for mon 19th.

ParticipantRe: P&G detergent training
Lol, the pudding was a joke, I was a little taken a back, since gill geary was quite persistant about the importance of educating me for my customers sake and I agreed that I would meet up but I indicated to her that she may be in mortal danger if she turned out to be not what she claimed.
This is why I enquired if anyone else has been approached on this board. On the same subject, I asked her if she had been in touch with the admin of ukw regarding detergent training and she said..Yes, but ukw seemed to be proliferated by ex engineers and not engineers who are in peoples kitchens…how she came to this conclusion I dont know :hmm: .
I also did detergent training when I worked for hotpoint (with lever bros) and it took a whole afternoon, so I was a little curious about the 30 minute claim, but I did tell her that if we met up in the week, I would have repairs to do and could spare no more time than advised..in other words I wouldn’t be working till 7 o clock because my repairs come first.

ParticipantI bet if they do work and get sold, then a call out would still be needed to replace the 3amp fuse that was fitted by mrs doodahs daughters boyfriends mate who knows about plugs.

To avoid this simply switch the startup mode to Manual under the Settings option. A permanant fix for this will be available shortly. This bug only affects Nokia 6600 users.
