    Re: Hotpoitn WMD960

Thanks Geoff, I am still pinning my hopes on the module and may ask for a different pcb and not a repair from EMW, thanks again for the help I REALLY appreciate it.

How did this pan out, I have the same problem and am on my second emw board the first one worked for two weeks and then gave the same fault of not starting programmes so EMW checked the pcb and sent it back as tested and it went half a wash before reverting back to not starting programmes….motor is fine with no earth leakage and door lock seems fine…any info on the outcome would be appreciated.

Work here was slow over Easter half term but busying up nicely now, I seem to be getting quite alot of customers buying their own parts online and asking for them to be fitted at labour cost only.

    Re: SIMPLE PCB REPAIR TIPS

Whirlpool ADP4601 cutting out when main motor starts to run, I have now done two of these dishwashers pcb repairs with no callbacks so thought I would post it here, I ordered and replaced the 10v 1000uf cap on the board and it worked ok, the original capacitor in both cases showed NO sign of doming or damage…..make sure that the new capacitor is fitted with the correct polarity as I didnt first time and it blew after 5 washes.

    Edited to add 2 pictures.

Thanks for the part number chris, would you have a description as the number is not recognised on whirlpools website or connections.

or here http://www.whirlpoolparts.ca/parts/fspS … 1&folder=& , the hose exits at the bottom of the appliance not at the top

    cheers

A bargain at this price and what a great idea for a book, I have ordered one off the discounted link, it will save me having bits of paper all over my van.

well its nearly a week and I aint heard anything…I checked and James Gibson really is from Indesit…wouldn’t you yhink that he would get a proper job…..I remember when Hotpoint and Creda were lumped together and how all of the management were jockying and vyying for position and trying to prove thier worth…well I think that james Gibson is probably in a similar position..trying to show management that he has a purpose inside Indesit.

If by any chance they do get in touch with me, I will send them a letter back telling them that I am going to have to charge them an admin fee for each letter I have to write to them, since they are clearly wasting my time and I cant do repairs, run my business and reply to thier letters aswell…cos theres only me here and my time is valuable.

    have I spoken too soon?…lol
