BillyWiz wrote:You’re not alone! Ours wasn’t cleaning too well, it often left a gungy residue in the bottom of cups. But we’re dafter than you, because rather than introduce Fairy liquid accidentally, we deliberately squirted some in without dishes, and set it off on a cycle. Same result as yours; a foamy kitchen and constant bleeping.

    Did the fix work?

A very old tip, a handlful of table salt thrown in will help reduce foaming at time of accident.

    Hope this helps

Has anyone seen a drum support fracture on one of these German made tanks. ❓

    Jim.

Interesing liquids destroying supports, to be honest I’m not that convinced that it is down totally to the detergents, the reason I say that is some time I left a New tub (Hotpoint ) support outside in the elements by mistake, some months later the tub support had started to corrode, so is it part water/detergent either or both ????

WRT the top element – it looks like the wrong one was fitted. The clips dont fit in the holes in the side (2″ out) and there is no screw in the top. Too right its a safety issue – the missus has burnt her hand a couple of time. And its my safety if it doesnt get fixed asap!!! 😉

Read P30 of Instruction book, Heading – Problem – 3rd one down also

I went ape, and had a slanging match with the stupid woman and her kids, I always double check if I turn my back on a machine now.

Could have gone back to van, charged three capacitors and handed it terminals first, now that would have been funny 😆
