Re: rangemaster 110 – difficult to ignite

Check the insultion cover on the ignition lead, some times the spark shorts if the lead cover slips down, you might only get a couple of sparks at the electrode and the rest go to earth.

    Cheers

    Re: CREDA Double Oven 48149V

Dose it reach the 240 degrees on the first heat up and dose it maintain that temp constant.?

Most stats have a differential setting so most heat over on first run before settling down to chosen temp.

This stops the stat cutting on/off constantly.

ISE machine has thought along the lines of longer life, but at a cost compaired with other brands, suppose you get what you pay for.

I was at a 22 year old service machine the other day, the reason the dont last as long anymore is cheap components 🙁
Machines could be made to last longer but at a cost, while the price of every thing has risen in the last 10 years the price of washers has fallen, also the price of spares has rocketed for some reason 😮

Thanks for that Chris, thought about cavity cut out but that would cut off power to element,so must be motor fault.

    Cheers John. 🙂

    Re: commercial appliances

Tony,to get into comercial repairs you need a bank account like Richard Branson. 😆

The commercial market expect to be invoiced for anywork done and they pay you when they are ready to.(30-60 days usually).

As I say you need really good cash flow and even then you get stretched.

I would not put anyone off the idea of repairing commercial equipment but just pointing out some of the down sides.
