    Hi

the 1/4 compressor will work without a problem if its a r600a but if your fitting a r134a then you will need a 1/3

    Re: gorenje washer dryer

would not the fagor parts be cheaper?

Gorenje parts are normally 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} cheaper than the companies that use their products..

smeg for example charge approx £60 for the fab freezer flap..gorenje £12.

bosch tumble drier heater £80 gorenje £15.

and as connect have the fagor supply contract and they increased the parts by £60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} as soon as they got it..nope i dont think fagor would be cheaper.

I did notice some dark burn marks on the main control unit nearest the point where the selector comes out. This is what made me think that that might have blown.

    All help appreciated.

    Thanks

So you have to replace that main unit ..Do you have warranty ???

Re: Dydon DC08 pre filter cleaning

Under close inspection, I’ve found that the trap door, on the collection housing, is cracked in a number of places.
    I guess this isn’t helping any ??
Secondly, the rubber seal that fits on the lower part of the cyclone, and seals the cyclone to the trapdoor, is intact, and looks OK.
But when I conect the cylcone to the flap. (not in situ), it does seem a little loose.. as if the seal has stretched.
If this seal has gone, would this allow dust up the inside centre section of the cyclone, and if so, could this also be part of my problem ?
In the short term, I’ve duck taped the cracks over until we decide whether to fix or replace.
I’ve found the cost of the trap door, unfortunately, not on this site.
Is the seal called “Fine Dust Collector Seal”

Re: Dydon DC08 pre filter cleaning

Sorry.. a slight typo.. it is in fact a DC07.
I initailly tried giving the cyclone section a good shake rattle and roll in the bin..I’ll get my car vac on it and try this..

failing that, what’s the next options.. considering it’s a sealed unit ?

    buy another cyclone ??
dump the vac for a new one ??

You say not to try and wash it out.. but as a last resort.. what about an over night soak.. is there anything inside the cyclone that could be damaged by soaking ??

It’s not much use as it is, having to wash the filer out every week, so we have very little to lose !!

    Hi Brian,

Gorenje.co.uk – Select Laundry and click on the Model you require. Lower down the page there is a tab ‘Enclosure’. Click this tab and you will see a download pdf file – ‘Instructions for use’.
