Re: Electrolux ERL6298XX12 Side by Side

    Hi

There will be a in line diode within the small wiring harness to the valve that has failed.
The small wiring harness comes as a spare part but as i’m not in the UK till next week I can’t find out the part number.

Re: Odd smell around fridge freezer

    Hi

Pour about 30ml of Miltons baby fluid down the drip channel at the back of the fridge as the majority of smells is due to debris going down this and then it evaporates and then produces smells. Unless you can pull the fridge freezer out and you should see a plastic tray on top of the compressor ( big black metal thing ) this might have water in it. If it does then wipe it out and put some of the milton fluid into it and leave it there and put the fridge freezer back.

    Hi

You pay your money you take the chance as the majority are made in 3 factories and then just have a badge put on them.

If you want a good one then you will need to pay for it i’m afraid.

    Hi

Earth is earth , blue is neutral , grey is live.

There is a mains filter like a capacitor top right looking from the front. The terminals should be marked. You will need to remove the lid. MAKE SURE THAT IT IS TOTALLY DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS.

Where about are you in the country ?

Re: How much credit to extend to work providers?

    Hi Bo

We don’t offer any estate agent credit. We provide a pro forma for the call and then charge for parts once we know what is needed and then its payment whilst on site by bank transfer.Once they have worked with us for a while then it’s a 7 day payment and we haven’t been let down since.
They can’t go to tesco’s and buy their coffee or milk on 60 day terms.

But their again I am a hard nosed bas7et

    Hi John

Ive found the pub’s but there is two different ones. Standard or invertor type pcb. Does your unit have an invertor type compressor ? Fan motors I have plenty of.
