    Re: Diplomat APL 8215

by the sound of it an engineer could successfully repair the harness rather than replacing it altogether, but if the wires are not completely broken then the problem is definitely elsewhere.

    Re: Bosch SG13300GB/01

Removed small cover in sump, removed unidentified piece of plastic from pump impeller, reassembled and tested OK!

Many thanks for the prompt and effective advice. Everybody here thinks I am an engineering genius and my washday hands will become a thing of the past once more.

    Re: lg dishwasher

    Hi,

I have an LD-12AW2 with no water also.

I would really appreciate any documentation or hints anyone can send me.

I have 4k ohms across my solenoid, so I think thats OK, but I am not getting 240V on the solenoid wires.

    regards

    Gary

Re: Zanussi Fridge Freezer ZK 56/38 RF

The unit stopped freezing but carried on humming. Engineers suggested the compressor had failed. When one came to collect the unit for repair he said it was not the compressor and this make of Zanussi is infamous because of difficult faults. It might be an internal gas leak and this model use a different type of gas.

Having consulted another engineer his firm declined the repair job and made no call out charge.

What is the problem with this model and is there anyone in the Brighton area that would do an economic repair.

    Thanks Patrick

    All,
The pcb has writing next to each componet.
The white lead connected to the pcb at point “F6” is the fridge heater connection.
This is a temporary fix whilst I source a replacement pcb.
Many thanks to the engineer who called today and showed me the location in 5 seconds.
Hope this may be of help to any other unfortunate soul who has an Ocean/Brandt APM6825.
Anyone have specific details of where I can order a replacement pcb ? (the previous page is a bit vague as to who or where you can order a pcb for this fridge.)

    Re: APL 2114 Explosion

Thanks very much Clive. It is a Hygena APL 2124, not sure of serial number but will find out. Am a best to have an electrition view to ascertain the pressure build up?
    Thanks Sam.

    Re: Zanussi ZFK.61/27

Sorry – that was me in the post above, despite the username

So would I be right in thinking that some kind of temperature monitor is faulty? The thing that tells the fridge to become colder?
Or is it a problem WAY beyond the imagination of the layman ?

    Dave
    That’s precisely it …
The “element” (or thing I thought was one) is behind a metal panel on the inside back, behind the shelves, inside the larder part of the fridge.

It runs and runs and runs but never gets cold at all any more. It’s ambient room temp only …

    Re: Bosch SG13300GB/01

Not that I know of although other users tend to be a bit cavalier about not cleaning plates off before putting them into the machine. Filters are always in place and cleaned regularly.

If I stick my finger up the outlet from the sump I can feel what seems to be impeller blades which I can rotate.

I was interested to know if there were two pumps, one for the arms and one for the waste or if there was just one pump and some means of diverting the flow from the sump to the arms or to the waste (and, if so, how do I get at it?).

    Dave / Flyman,
Thanks again, I have an engineer coming out tomorrow.
Anti condensation heater or auto defrost I have heat in the fridge compartment permanently !!!
Any idea how to disconnect the heater ?
This would give me a temporary fix while I source a replacement pcb.
I’ll post the engineer’s findings when complete.
