    Re: BT quadruple Broadband speed!

Fraid I couldn’t wait to get away from BT broadband. t was a diaster from day one for us and trying to cancle the contract after a year was another nightmare, endless calls to another continent to sort it out.

My internet providers are now both in the uk, with friendly helpful staff and technical support to hand. And at £17.99 per month Eclipse.com are a good deal.

I know of one member who has taken it on and is awaiting training, as he has not posted this up, I’d best not name him.

However its £42.00 per normal call and double for a system, as far as I know, with training, spares and back up to help out.

Re: Bosch 6312 Dishwasher: No Heat

    Hi

Further to my posts on this I have had someone round who tested it and said it definitely was NOT the heater that was faulty and he left saying that was as far as he could go and that the circuit board would have to be replaced. Is it likely to be worth going any further with this or am I better off just buying a new dishwasher. Most repairers including this one dont seem to have much of a clue and certainly dont seem to want to test the board to see if it can be repaired. Is there any other particular part that is likely to be the culprit, I had a look on the Bosch spares site and could only see a control module that seemed to be relevant. Any further ifo would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Pete

Re: Ariston LI62 – door not closing

We are having the same problem, ie door does not catch and therefore runs with door not fully shut. Have taken it to pieces and it appears the piece of plastic that holds the spring has snapped. Any idea where we can get the said part from?
    Thank you!

Re: Servis BFC371B Oven not heating up

    Hi Dave

I have the very same model as mentioned above and the very same problem with the element. I’ve been trying to find a Servis spares stockist here in Ireland without success. Do you supply to Ireland? If so, could you let me know how much it would cost for the part and shipping (to 30 kilometres from central Dublin)? If not, do you know who I might contact to get the part?

    Many thanks

Re: Whirlpool/CDA Dishwashers with Askoll Circulating Pump

    hi,

There are two problems with these…
    1) the upper spray arm supply tube pops out of the filter base due to poor fit.
    2) the upper basket docking station is also a poor fit.

These both give poor cleaning in the top basket. The circ pumps are ok regards pressure.

Either fix of the top basket supply problem is likely to happen again as you are replacing like for like and not modified parts.

are you an employed engineer mattman 100? If so, this thread is not about an employed engineer. You’ll have to read all of it to be up to speed.

    Dave,
Thanks for your help so far.
The ice build up in the freezer is no longer happening. Items in the freezer are frozen.
The fridge appears to be “warm” when I feel the back of the compartment at the bottom.
    However, the top feels cold.
I think it might be permanently defrosting ?
    What do think ?
Any tests I can perform ? How do I disconnect the auto defrost ?

tried the ‘can believe you’d loose further business do to 3 days over’… but no deal. the company is Global Repairs we used them cos they seemed to be a decent size (not here today gone tomorrow). I’m glad you agree tho that 6 mths isn’t long for a repaired part to last.
