    Re: Panasonic Commercial NE1757 microwave

    Hi,

Only a microwave leakage from the magnetron seal, scewing up the electronics.

Was a regular on the old Philips 710’s if anyone remembers them.

    Re: Franchise Field Service Engineer?

    Hi,

I used to do a Whirlpool franchise and got shafted big time by them…..useless just about describes them.

Do yourself a favour and stay well clear of Whirlpool.

AL domestics have a london franchise…ok. So are you looking to work for yourself?

If so, are you Corgi and what postcodes would you cover? Have you fridge system abilities?

Supply the info and I’ll pm you some companies to approach.

Re: Hotpoint and its crap after sales service

I’m led to believe that Hotpoint have sorted out their service problems……where we have been assisting D&G to do their Hotpoint customers(for 6 months) we are now to lose this work as Hotpoint demand it back.

It goes without saying that we will not help again….sorry D&G you can only dump on me once…

So if your Hotpoint Service is RUBBISH, please let us know, try going into REPAIRS@ (the toolbox with wheels) and use an independent, who’s service you’ll have to pay for….but miles better than the **** from them.

Re: wiring diagram for Sole motor

It seems to be a good idea to find a another motor not so complicated, so I went back to my local recycling place and found a twin tub washing machine. After a lot of struggeling to get out the motor, I discovered that the rotor shaft didn´t fit on wheel on the saw. 😥
At the time now it is snowing heavy, so I have to wait until tomorrow and start over again.
Now i´m scanning the net for finding some chematic for how to connect the capacitor. Somethin tells me that the connections are easy. But I have to know for certain. I cannot give up now, so i´ll be back.

Re: Bomberg oven – replacing grill element

Well, it doesn’t blow any fuses, so that’s good news. It may be that only the inner of the two grill elements is coming on, so could be my green and black were the wrong way round, or maybe the clips just need more pressure to make a really good contact – it took pliers to get them off. Still, none of it was working before so that’s progress. Getting the screws back into the element fixing plate was a real pain, it kept cross-threading.

Are all ovens so badly designed? Or is there anymake/model where one can replace the grill element without taking everything to pieces? Certainly won’t get a Blomberg another time…

Re: Any Old Creda/Tidas ex Engineers out there?

I worked out of the Leeds office, Gill Hines was my supervisor.

As I did the sheffield/Chesterfield postcodes and there once was a TI factory in chesterfield, everyone had the old 48301 to 48305 cookers. Life was so easy, fixing cookers all day. Then came the abortions…..the plastic tub wash.washer dryers, what a nightmare of an appliance. Bearing change, pig of a job. But working for Creda was good, plenty of Bonus and good pay structure, then came HOTPOINT….disaster.

I left pretty quick, working for Hotpoint cost me over £40.00 per week in lost bonus. The Northern manager was also not a nice bloke, I’ve never liked arseoles and he was a big one, he worked out of Manchester…enough said 🙂

Re: Bomberg oven – replacing grill element

One more question: got the Torx, undid the screws, took off the back of the oven, unscrewed the scews holding the element in, removed the clips connecting the wires to the four connectors on the back of the grill element. The problem is that I can’t really see what I’m doing (it’s half out of its housing and the mains cable doesn’t stretch much further). So I’m pretty sure I got the two yellow wires correctly conencted to the clips on the back of the new element, but I’m not quite so sure about the green and the black wires.

I _think_ that the green cable went to the right hand of the two middle connectors with the conenctors facing away from me (i.e me standing at the front of the oven). Then the black cable should go to the outside right connector. Does this sound right?

    Re: Leaking Bauknecht “Florida”

    The hole is the leak…..

There should be a large grommet in this hole, it usually falls inside the dishwasher when it fails, check in the floor of the dishwasher.

It is a spare part and can be fitted from the inside with a drop of sealant.

If you post the 12 digit number from the label begining 85 I’ll get the part number for you and you can ask your local agent for the part….assuming your not in the uk, otherwise Dave will sell you one from the shop.

    won’t ya Dave 😉

Exactly the same problem or lights flashing generally ?

If it’s different lights, let us know which as each sequence means something different 😉

    Dave.

Engineer had a look, gave up and left parting thought…..no such fault code in the book so will ask around and get back to you…..my hands are getting softer with all this washing up. Perhaps its time for a new one (this one is only 18 months old)
