Re: Ariston Margherita 2000 – I also have a problem!

Fixed it! I took it apart and found that the pipe that leads down from the detergent tray had become unattached for some reason, so I put it back on and all is well. Strange!

Usually most of these door seals are intended to be replaced by double jointed two man teams and there is a “knack” to doing them that defies explanation to be honest. Plus they’re all different just to make it even more fun, some of them take us a lot of time to get right on and it’s only through experience that you learn the best way for each appliance.

All I can advise is to keep trying and have the plasters to hand for the little cuts you may recieve. 😉

Now thats truthfull humour, and we have the t-shirts to prove it. Dont forget a swear box at side of appliance all proceeds to Disaster fund 😆

Re: AEG oko lavamat washer 6955, error F9

    Martin,
Thanks very mush for your quick post.
It took the motor off a moment ago and removed the brushes – surprisingly easy as you say.
Certainly one of the brushes appears to have very little left. The other appears to have a little spring in it so I guess some left.
I have an engineer coming on Wed but was hoping to get it fixed more quickly.
    Still……
Am I able to get a sameday delivery of these brushes from anywhere and therefore fix it on Monday?

And most importantly…………how can I open the door? I have tried turning the switch to gentle rinse while holding the quick wash and pre-wash buttons but with no joy. Any help before the mould starts growing on the babies clothes?

    Thanks very much

Re: AEG oko lavamat washer, error F9

I have exactly the same problem (F9 and same cobination of lights) as Alex with my Lavamat 6955 (Also noticed same post on another forum! 🙂

I can’t for the life of me get the machine to reset and door open to get clothes out following Alex’s instructions.
Can anyone help? Wife and 3 kids think it is a conspiracy as the service people are taking a week to turn up.

Also is it possible to see if the brushes are worn – by a layman – and be replaced?

    Re: 2005 New Year Resolution

Well done Martin…..I wish I could return to being under the threshold too. No chance though.

Whats worse is that the 20 grand a year the Vat man gets from me goes into Europe’s coffers and not ours.

Fraid I remember the 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} luxury tax, long before the devil spawned the VATMAN.

    hi del,

    on this subject…..

I think Del is correct reffering to the control aspect.

I know that CDSL have a good call centre structure set up. And they are already doing 24/7 facilities directly for some manufacturers. So they would be a direct competitor to this idea, careful what you say.

I have an open invite to CDSL to visit the call centre for the day(with Bridie) and will activate that visit to go on a spying mission.
CDSL also offer weekend management to manufacturers who have in the past closed on a Friday. This is allowing them to collate info from the telephone traffic for their own use…….

Re: Diplomat ADP 8122 Now Bosch SMS 4452

jonsco wrote:Hi thanks for the reply, however have already moved it out in to the garage, and brought back from the grave the old bosch.
But of course nothing every runs as expected. It hasn’t been used for 2 years, but it washes better than the diplomat.

The problem now is that the bosch seems to have a problem with I think a thermal switch.
It will start the wash cycle but it just seems to get hotter and hotter and it just carrys on washing, the only way to continue is to move the knob round to the drain cycle.

It then does the same on the rinse cycle.
So I figure it must be a temperature sensor. Though I know very little about dishwashers.

    Any ideas and recommendations please

    Thanks

Re: Ariston Margherita 2000 – I also have a problem!

I have a problem with one of these too. It takes in water at the beginning of the cycle then when the drum is supposed to turn, nowtr happens and the dial does that turny thing. I’ve checked the filter, reset the machine and checked that the belt is still in one peice. Any ideas? Is it worth taking off the pipework to the pump to see if there is any blockages?

    Ta!
