    Re: Homark oven/grill (not fan)

Thanks for the response. The oven model number is 01-800100. It doesn’t have a timer so it looks like I’ll need to get someone out to look at it. Just what I need a week before Xmas, thankfully I haven’t bought the turkey yet!

    Re: Hygena AHY 8101/2 Leak

    Penguin,
Thanks, I will check the door again although I have had this thing in bits that many times, I dont remember seing a stat. The safety stat is a dual unit with 4 connections (73 & 90 degrees) the drawing also shows a 60 deg stat, this is the one I assume allows the timer to restart.
    Thanks a lot,

Will check in the morning for Daves reply re spray arm

    Re: Hygena AHY 8101/2 Leak

    Dave,
    You’re the man!!!!!!
Bottom spray arm is split – please give me a price on a new one.
But havent resolved the timer stall problem. I tried taping the spray arm up to get the washer to heat up to temp, but have to keep knocking it off when it leaks because the tape comes off!!!!! So don’t know if it’s getting hot enough.
I can only find the safety stat on my washer, although the wiring diag shows others (as options – different wash temps ??). If there is another stat, where is it and can it be easily tested (jug of hot water like the old car stats??)
    Your help is much appreciated,

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Dave/Penguin,
Bottom door seal is clean, will check the outlet pipes from the sump. The water is getting hot, found the stat (red button on top) which didn’t need resetting. What is causing the timer to not step on ? Is this waiting for a signal from the pressure switch (ie full or empty?)

    Thanks,
    Steve

Re: Zanussi Aquacycle 1400 & Condenser Dryer TC 7114

Thanks guys, for your help and reassurance.

The washing machine is plumbed in right, and obviously the long cycles are normal, so my problem lies in the drier! I’ll be more careful about how I use it in the future.

    Cheers,

Re: Ford Connect Premature Tyre Wear

I run quite a fleet of these vans.

I suspect the blame does not lie with the tyres themselves as we have had this with several makes of tyre.

Consider this, when you buy a new vehicle it makes sense for the tyre company to supply their best wearing tyres, that way you as the owner tend to remember what the 1st replacement mileage was, and you would be tempeted to buy the same again. If they suppiled a tyre of less wuality to keep the prices down, you wuold replace with a different make.

There is no doubt about it, there is a problem with the tracking geometry on these vans, and it has been noticed with the Focus Diesel as well.

As well as the cost, there is a safety issue, so I recommend all owners turn the wheel full lock & inspect the inner edge of the tyre.

Re: Hoover Performa 1300 – Unable to drain

    Hiya,

water does flow out, once it is lowered into a bucket, I will have a look at the pump in a while, l just wanted to ensure that if there was a filter with this particular Hoover model?? so l could clean it before concluding that the pump is knackered..

    thanks

Re: Hoover Performa 1300 – Unable to drain

The model Number is Hoover AB130.

I have taken off the pipes and check them thoroughly. l did find a wire inside the hose from the tub to the pump. I did try and look at the pump itself, but how can l ensure that this is clean from any grim or blockages, without removing it?

    thanks in adance,

to “borrow” might involve credit licenses and would be hard to get these in this day and age.
