    Re: creda oven

A late reply since I had to leave uk for a while.

Thank you very much Martin, and Clive.
Did it today (15-12-04) It was as you said, a bit of WD40, a wet cloth and it did the job. Thnx again guys.

I looked for days to find an instruction manual for Hoover washing/machine, and couldnt find it, then I found your page. One of you stated that there are none. Lol.
Then I thought that you really know your onions. – so i posted my question.

To conclude guys (I saw one guy ordering sumthing from you)_ if you have a light bulb for my Oven, pls send me one, since I wanna buy it from you. I need a contact number or an order form.
    kind regards
    Jack

Re: Liebherr fridge light heating fridge up

Some of the leibherr appliances do have the internal light staying on low whilst the door is closed, this is because to get the energy efficency rating they wanted it caused the thermostat to go into lock out as like when it is in a low ambient temprature situation.
the way that they got round this is by having the light go through a resitor that is in the thermostat housing.
this would not normally cause a temprature rise given though.i suspect that the switch assembly would be at fault or incorrectly wired.

Re: bosch sgs5312 poor wash pressure

thanks again to Martin & Clive,

Bosch sgs5312GB now works ok. 😆 i was being too ??. When I cleared the corugated pipe and Regulating chamber I did not realise that the sump fills thru there. (a little knowledge is a dangerous thing).
So Figuring I’d prevent the build up of gunk in the future but still allow the level to be monitored I inserted a piece of kitchen plastic scrub into the corugated pipe from the sump side. 😳 . Thus the problem remained until pipe was unobstructed.
Her indoors is now very happy. Nothing like a bit of ‘ardship.

💡 Why does’nt Bosch direct the the high speed filling swish along this pipe to keep it clean? Is this the way Miele do it?

    Cheers
Ps do ya need taps and pipes & gas for that Fullers stuff?

Re: Creda 37748E Tumble Dryer Drum not turning

Thanks Dave – I rather thought that would be the case. Once I get the drum out I dare say it may get a bit more obvious. It’s just going to take a bit longer than I originally thought 😕

    Re: Faulty Smeg Dishwasher

    Thanks Clive,

Your advice was far more practical and accurate than the smeg website (unless I was looking in the wrong place).

It certainly did the trick (it was a mess!) and saved me at least £50 in call out fees. I also removed the reservoir and gave that a soak and clean as much as possible using a straw and bursts of warm water for good measure.

Thanks again for the sound advice.

Thats great, I just phoned and ordered it, why couldn’t they suggest that? £36 much better than having to buy a new cooker!
    THanks for your help! 😆

Re: Creda 37748E Tumble Dryer Drum not turning

Sorry to add to your thread, but I have the same problem i.e. drum not turning. Fortunately I know what is causing it – the belt has broken.

I have a new belt but I’m not sure how much of the machine will have to be dismantled to fit it. It looks as though the belt has to be fitted round the spindle and the guide wheels somehow. Is there a special knack to this?

    thanks

Re: LG 1460FHD Bearings + fitting?

Bit of bad luck here, the likeley hood here is that if you just change the bearings and seal then you are likeley to have failure again within a year, the best idea is to see you can get a complete drum tank assembly if anyone has still got them in stock close to you,I still hold both the direct and indirect units in stock(yeh i know there no longer available from LG but there are ways and means 😈 .
I can order the bearings and seals if you want normally delivered within 4 days direct from LG.
If you need any further help give me a call on 07961365484.
oh and by the way this might be covered under LG’S 5yr parts warranty depending wgere you purchased it,there again you’ll be charged £80 by connect for which they pay the engineer £40 approx..good way of connect making more money on top of drasticly increasing the cost of LG parts by at least 40{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} in some cases.

Re: Hotpint Condenser Dryer TC71 Cutting Out after a 10 seco

I also have the same problem but have a ‘Crusader’ (no model number) condensing tumble dryer. This is a chepo dryer but the unserviceable relay that was in it was a Schrack RM505730. Could you tell me if the Whitegoods link above will be the same one? Only, after looking at the second link provided, the picture had the contacts in a different configuration. Please can you email me at: dusty911@hotmail.com
I will also keep on checking the site just in case.
    Many thanks,

    Hi Gents

I purchased the above product from MFI 2 years ago. Both the fridge and freezer have stopped chilling, although power is still on to the unit (light still operating). Any ideas as to what the problem may be?

    Best Regards

was told it was a recognised problem, but ford wouldn’t admit to it.

    You are not alone.

Our local dealership (Foray Ford) seems to be aware of this but remain cagey everytime we mention it.

They have agree to assist with cost though, so go for it if you have the same problems or issues.

    Almost forgot……..

I took the chance of introducing Charles the Brandt engineer to the UKW site, gave him our card, seemed interested.

Explained how he could join in(the fun) especially with technical help direct to the guy asking for it.

He lives in SOS so who knows 😆 😆 😆
