KeymasterRe: Diplomat ADP 8252 E4 Alarm code?
Dave/Clive,
Many thanks for the help, much appreciated 🙂To save time, would you be able to advise me as to where the temperature device is likely to be located? do i need to remove any panels to gain access?

KeymasterRe: Bosch fridge freezer
Many thanks for that, Clive.
As a matter of interest, one reading was 11 ohms and the other open circuit so that explains why the machine doesn’t work. It’s only four years old – I’m not surprised there is a fast-growing fridge mountain in the UK! Surely in this day and age it ought to be possible for machines to be designed in a modular way so that replacing a compressor doesn’t result in the need to junk the whole machine? A real opportunity for an innovative entrepreneur perhaps.
Many thanks Clive – it has saved me the cost of an abortive service call and I’m indebted to you.

KeymasterRe: Hotpoint WMA37 motor not turning
Martin,
I did carry out an ir test using a 500V Metrohm on both motor and heater element. No problems there.
I would like to know which wire is connected to the thermal cutout switch on the motor. I’m guessing that it is the grey one as I cannot open up the motor casing as it it riveted together.Neil

KeymasterRe: WD40 sprayed in cooker switch
hi,
are you sure its 12 KW, if so 2.5 mm cable is not big enough. 10mm will do the trick.

KeymasterRe: brandt
Delivered by hand by a Brandt roving engineer, “2004” Technical manual. Its basically what you see on agora but all printed off and bound up in a large folder.
3 x telephone numbers to use for technical, in order of use.

Apparantly Brian has tech info on his desk.

KeymasterRe: Diplomat ADP 8252 E4 Alarm code?
Hi,
Would i be correct to assume that if it is a heating control fault it would likely be a thermistor/thermostat fault or possibly the heating element? I don’t have a problem with testing anything and any pointers on where to look would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks

KeymasterRe: Hotpoint WMA37 motor not turning
Checked out heater, doesn’t appear to be working on programme, no supply voltage, element tested for continuity ok with meter.
Checked motor wiring o.k.
Looking grave, washing machine required daily in this house.
Cheers,

KeymasterRe: Hoover TV630 – Filter Care Light on TOC not o/c
Sorry Dave thats gone straight over my head.
Just to clarify what i’ve done, i’ve taken the panel off the back of the dryer, removed the thermal fuse from the heater unit (silver thing with 2 tags) put a meter across the 2 tags on the fuse and the reading is 0 ohms. To me this means the fuse is ok.

KeymasterRe: Hoover TV630 – Filter Care Light on TOC not o/c
I’ve disconnected the fuse from the dryer and it reads 0 ohms
