From what you say, it sounds as though the noise I’m hearing isn’t normal, so I’ll try giving Hoover’s service company another call. (I did actually try to give them a call before my first post, but I got fed up of waiting on hold and then found this site.)

I’ve already opened the rear of the machine and using a tester, I checked thermostats and heater continuity and found no open circuit. This indicated to me that the ‘thermostat kit’ is working fine; is this correct?

I’ve cleaned throughout and although drum rotates, the heater doesn’t seem to function. I’m at a loss now and assume that the problem is with the controller. What should I check next?

👿 ..Yeh and your not the only one ,sorry mate but its a new shredder. 😮 .
fellows dont have any parts for the shredders unless its oneof the big boys toys that cost over £1000,I had this argument with them a few months ago and got no help what so ever but the answer “sorry we dont have or supply the parts for standard shredders. 😈 Not withstanding I did get a refurbed machine off them after a lot of agro as mine was only 18mths old.

Re: Diplomat ADP 8132 Dishwasher – Faulty Door Switch

I also have a faulty door on my Diplomat ADP 8132, after wrestling the door open, I took the door assembly apart.
Does the door switch section (pn 697690139 7.99+vat) have a large spring and is like a catch which operates as you shut the door? and is connected by 3 white wires and an earth?
I removed this part, gave it a clean, refitted, the door now opens with a bit of a tug. I think I need to replace it though.
Is there anywhere in essex cm11 that would stock this part?

as Ken says I’m well impressed with mine. It was a factory fit when I bought the van and very expensive at the time. However a year on and it still impresses me with its abilities, like delivering me to the exact number of the street even on a dual carriage way or one way system. I have now learned to trust it when it sends me down country roads that at first glance lead nowhere. Done away with my a-z’s and dangerous driving technique of reading a map, putting a finger up at some motorist whilst steering with me knees. 😳

Just think yourself lucky, you could have had my box of horrors! Try the reset protocols which you will find somewhere on this site (might be a different thread). It worked on my d/w, but I had already bought a new machine.
