    Re: Siemens under counter fridge

    Hi folks

    thanks for this.

It looks like I need a new/repaired/replacement compressor.

I like to think that I’m eco friendly …..I’m also a pragmatist

……best solution repair or replace ……taking cost into account?

    Re: Hotpoint FF92 Problems

Hi there, i’m having exactly the same problem with my FF93. My guess is that the fan that distributes the cold air from the freezer up to the fridge area has gone (it’s certainly not working!).Normally after you’ve had the fridge door oipen for a while you hear the fan kick into life when you close the door to push cold air back into the fridge. Maybe it’s a fuse for the fan?
I’ve just noticed that your post was a nearly a month ago – have you got this sorted now? would you mind letting me know what the problem was? would be great if you could email me at steve.craggs@stockton.gov.uk Thanks very much.

    Re: New oven

    Hi,

You always get what you pay for.

Cheap white ovens ….discolour on the side struts when grilling with door open!
Look for grill with door closed.

Electronic control….do you need child lock? Its easy to push buttons when watching the display……De Dietrich has child lock for one.

Stainless steel……enquire about cleaning the surface.

Service back up(were it to fail).

There is so much choice….but “how it looks often wins the day”. Look for more than a 1 year guarantee……think some cards offer a 2nd year if bought with the card.

To finish…we have a whirlpool oven and it works. Just.

    Re: servis caress 1600 ‘a’

This is a common fault on this appliance…….

Please check that the drive belt on your appliance is BLACK and made of hard rubber compound. If it is whitish and soft in compound then this original belt stretches as much as 2 inches from its new size and causes intermittent spin.

The part number is on the belt and anyone ordering that number receives a black one.
Don’t be suprised that the new one fits like a piano wire….just watch your fingers!

    hi sean,

Please be clear, Mark gave no permissions, and this was out before Mark and I spoke.

And as for giving Dasa a chance……..

    Please ask the question?
Was Oldtogs post an official one from Dasa in his new role of Press Officer, because I don’t see many Dasa agents distancing themselves from his comments.

Just to clear a point Sean……Mark has spoken to me about what is going off with Electrolux……therefore its no secret. He explained to me in detail how it will supply the funds dasa needs, please do not blame admin when all electrolux agents are aware also….it is no secret.

    Re: rumours

I’ve no truck with Dasa reorganising itself…good luck too them.

I do take issue with the reaction to a rumour when it gets personnel.

Especially when it turns out there is truth to the rumour.

    Play fair?….always have.

Its not my place to advise Dasa, and in this forum we talk RUMOURS!

No offence taken K , you speak many excellent ideas and a lot of truths, there are a number of members trying very hard to move this dinosuar forward in the right direction.

Leadership will hopefully come soon but it will carry a cost. I like many others in this forum will support ideas that we see feasible but others have to start having a vision too. All here are already to committed either to UKW, DASA and our industry, the rest need to start helping themselves to help others

I recently just had a run in too.

Threaten with all sorts of things if I didn’t pay invoices for spares returned for full credit 2 years ago.

I have dug all the paperwork out proved the point and they have backed off.

Used to be an agent but no longer do any work for them

    Re: Blomberg 1515AAA fault code

checked pump and hoses , no blockages , everything looks ok , will not run any prog now , and missus has told me it started comeing up with this error on delay start programmes first intermittantly , then on normall progs int. now on all progs all the time , is this a progressive failure , of say control board ? when it only happened on delay start , then progressed to other progs ?

    Re: Blomberg 1515AAA fault code

thanks for the advise , will have a look at the pump etc in a minute , when i put it on spin/drain only program it tries to pump for 3 seconds , stops for 15 seconds then tries to pump again for about 3 seconds then immediatly starts beeping and flashing the same fault code , was intermittant when on any prog , but now happens on all progs so iam really stuffed

    many thanks Jim Evans

    Cheers for the info.

It puts into perspective DASL’s post saying a load of bollocks and Oldtogs load of rubbish.

    Thanks Ken,

Oldtog will see for himself when he’s had chance to cool down how out of character his post is. Its upto him how he proceeds.
