Must be that time of the year, because mine has done exactly the same. Any progress on a cost and a supplier for this part.
Cheers.

KeymasterRe: Maintenance manual for White Knight WK787 dryer?
Not sure about your description Penguin45, but it does have only one button (ON) – opening the door is how to switch it off. It is resetting the safety button on the back that brings the heat back on. What flips this? Is it a local thermostat (integral part of the safety switch)? or is it the control board? Would rather avoid an expensive call out for an inexpensive appliance, and would hate the replace it for a trivial problem!
Thanks,

KeymasterRe: DANCE WITH THE DEVIL
My apologies Richard for the use of the word, militant, it was not intended to describe you as a person or your view. Whilst you are correct I don’t subscribe to the view it is only because I understand the problems.
To better our lot and project ourselves as “grown ups” will put us in front of the spin and untruths of some work providers. Dialogue is the key, trust is lock and we have both.

KeymasterRe: Maintenance manual for White Knight WK787 dryer?
Sorry to re-open this one – but still have a problem. Having reset the trip, cleaned the condenser unit, and ensured that the exhaust in unimpeded. the dryer works fine – but for a diminishing length of time. Currently the trip is going after about an hour.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

KeymasterRe: Diplomat ADP8132 dishwasher not heating the water
Hi Washdoctor
Hope you can help me too !!
I have a Diplomat ADP8112 which has also stopped heating the water.
I got excited when I found this thread especially as my little red button seemed to click when pressed.
Unfortunately it is still not heating the water, is the next move to replace the element ?
Is it easy to get the element out ? I could see where the wires go in by looking into the front of the machine but couldn’t see how the element is help in place ?
Hope you can help
Regards

KeymasterRe: Diplomat ADP 8242 isn,t getting dishes clean
Did find some food particles in the end holes of the spray arms which seemed to stop the arms rotating. Seems to be OK at the moment, touch wood. Might check out the sump though and run the cleaner through it anyway.
Thanksadmin
KeymasterRe: Diplomat ADP 8132 not washing properly
You must have been watching me 8O. After my post, I did just that. I guessed the end holes were the ones to check and did find a slither of food or something in each arm. Tricky to remove but got them out in the end. Cleaned the filters too whilst I was there. Touch wood its been cleaning OK for the last couple of days. Thanks for input.

KeymasterRe: Ariston AWD1200 poor drying prformance
Ah that sounds more like it, I thought the small hose at the bottom of the condensor looked more like a drain only. I’ll have another look.
Thanks again.

KeymasterRe: Indesit WE 165
Dave,
Thanks for the rough estimate. The wife has just fished out the machines paperwork and it appears there is a 4 year parts warranty valid only if you use merloni (Hotpoint) service engineers.
Difficult one to call when you consider the call out fee (£90.00 ) + labour quote this morning. It is a lot if the fault is minor. But, going by Martins comment of it possibly being “expensive” may be I should bite the bullet and go with it. I would rather not.
Do we have a man in the PO11 9HZ area who could look at the machine.

If its 10 years old, then its not worth a bearing change on this w/dryer IMO.
However it will cost £500 to £650 to replace with a decent model. Perhaps someone closer to you could supply and fix at a better price than a shed.kevin
