THE SOMETHING THEY LIKE IS THE ABILITY OF THE CDSL SYSTEM TO REPORT

The speed of reporting the status of a job on the cdsl system is why isdal have lost the work in my opinion, all work providers want instant reporting and unless we all look closely at our own businesses we will be left behind, with no contract work.

Re: Indesit W103 programme selector clicks round and round

    Hi

Anyone know the outcome of this problem? I have also bought a new control board for my W103 and I get the 3 flashes too. Any clue what this means?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Zanussi Dishwasher inlet valve

I’ve found out how! I couldn’t see how the sides could come off as they seem to be completely encasing the body and were spot welded, but a closer inspection of the base revealed that it can be unbolted. I can now move to the next step of checking the valve.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have examined the wiring and can find no evidence of chaffing. The mains filter appears to be ok based in resistance measurements. I don’t have a megger so I can’t be sure about adequate insulation. Since cleaning the Selni motor it has now run for three washes without failure. I am beginning to suspect that the problem is/was associated with carbon build up. The machine is used daily but when I examined the commutator it was dull in appearance although the segments were smooth. I blew out the carbon with an airline and cleaned the commutator. I will let you know how things develop.

Re: Indesit W103 – Eight flash fault

    Hi martin,

Yes, I should have called someone but I have chosen a path now. If I call an engineer now the overall costs approach the cost of the machine! What a disaster – no more indesit for me, ever.

Would a little used W103 (about 80 washes) be worth something to someone?!

As for Bosch, I work for Siemens and can normally get them with staff discount – though you do pay more for them. But a service engineer is the one to know whats best!

Fate of said heap is undecided. In light of the new sticky post about fault codes I guess asking what the 3 flashes are is out of order? πŸ™‚

    Re: Smeg Oven Symbol Replacements

    most likely YES.

    However can you supply :

    1) the colour
    2) How many do you need , are they marked the same for each location,ie grill or oven ect.
    3) the model number
    4) the serial number
last two are usually available on a rating plate on the appliance.

If you can supply the info required there are several on site who will help further

Re: Indesit W103 – Eight flash fault

    It gets worse…. πŸ™

I had a look inside, checked all connections, cleaned the pcb connectors (spring clip to one side of the pcb only?!) and tried again. This time the LED stayed on then after about 15 sec started spinning at full speed! A second attempt and it sat there humming…

So I bought a new module from the official spares dept (Β£74). “Yes we have several in stock – dont sell many of them I guess” – ha. All I was asked was if my drum is plastic or metal.

Installed new module diligently and switched on (selector on stop position). After apprx 14 flashes water & drain pump started – and doesn’t stop, selector spins and 3 flashes.

Looking further down the list I see a guy called cliff had the same thing. Maybe I got the board he sent back perhaps? If you read this cliff please post!

Also just found out someone else at my workplace had problems with an indesit control board, they gave up and bought a new machine….heck…

    Any advice anyone? (Dump it?)
    Cheers

    Re: I.S.D.AL. & L.G.

A few years ago ISDAL agreed to suffer a loss of quite a few thousand pounds (in the region of Β£20,000 +) writing off unpaid invoices and rejections and no credit for returned parts ect when L.G. was playing their games then and it seems they are still playing it now and where trying to push the issue.(they say a leopard never changes its spots)Hopefully connect have got the account fully underwritten by insurance to cover themselves as I can see the same thing happening again.

Whilst I was on the phone to a certain member of senior L.G. staff yesterday and they are’nt happy about this situation either and the moral within L.G.’s service department is low and not looking forward to this change over at all.

And as for Peter Butt..he must have some juicey stuff on a few senior staff at L.G. to be able to keep his job for so long,My son knows more about their appliances than he does.Ive never known Peter to give a straight and forthright answer to any question handed to him either in person or over the phone,Ive yet to receive a call back or any answers by e-mail.

Engineer (Agency on behalf of MFI) arrived pm today (27/04/04). He checked Module, pump & motor with his meter and could not find any fault. He then tried an empty machine on rinse/spin, no fault occurred. On trying with some washing to load the machine, it tripped on rinse/spin as I had reported. The Engineering is ordering a new motor as the machine tripped when the motor was about to undertake β€œit’s final cycle before going into spin” and will return with new motor. Hopefully this will fix the problem, thanks for the information and help.

    Re: I.S.D.AL. & L.G.

Knowing what ISDAL was willing to write off as in bad debt and rejected invoices with L.G. and to get things sorted out I would say that ISDAL has told them enough is enough as they cannot keep losing money when L.G. reject invoices months later after ISDAL have paid the engineers for the work.

As for technical assistance its as much use as a chocolate mug.

As for the spares that I keep in stock for their customers, when the 21st comes along all unused parts will be returned by hand and payment for my spares account will be with held for that amount and argue the case in court if need be.
