Hi
Have you cleaned the condenser at the rear, You will need to remove back panel ( turn off the appliance ) black metal unit with a cardboard end.. Hoover that fully and try again after a 24hr FULL defrost.

If you have mains power to the oven then check you have a time set on the oven clock.
This one doesn’t have a clock 😛
But yes it sounds like a no power problem.

KeymasterRe: Solid Ring Built In Hob
Normally caused by saucepans that are either too large or of the catering type and the bottoms are not flat thus the plate doesnt sense the correct temp all over the surface thus causing the hot spots and can cause the blueing/tanning of the stainless steel hob top.
Very common on the cheap cata crap.

KeymasterRe: Whirlpool Syde By Side not Defrosting
Hi
If both front and rear PCB’s have been replaced as well as the heater and the defrost klixon then there is Nothing electrical that can cause it not to defrost unless its a broken internal wire which is unusual.
It should be able to meter the continuity of the wiring from the pcb to the heater ect, But another cause of snowing up of the evaperator is the door cams.
Does your door rise slightly and stay half open and then close on its own if you open it 1/4 way ? as they cams wear and stop the rise and fall of the door ?.

Thanks for your reply, Bob. I don’t think the drain tube is blocked – I cleaned the fridge inside and out just before it went wrong and checked water ran down it. The back of the fridge is frosted and when it went wrong the ice was covering the gaps down the back of the shelves.
I’m gobsmacked – if “Fred Bloggs” at justanswers.com has been giving me the wrong advice all this time I’ll be livid – I paid for that – and he must have sent me that pdf that doesn’t even apply to my FF. The latest was I asked him why it doesn’t look the same as the part that’s in, and how I fit it, and he said he didn’t have anymore information and closed the conversation.
But I’m puzzled now about your advice: I can understand that the potentiometer and control module controls the temperature, but surely the FF must have sensors to detect what the temperature is? Sorry to sound sceptical, but I’ve had so much contradictory advice and I’m just trying to figure out who’s got it right. Are you confident – do you know this model well?
If so, I’ll be well chuffed – I think my local electrical store has the pcb assembly and it’s a couple of minutes to fit it. I was going to give it a go before I started researching this ages ago!

KeymasterRe: National Appliance Care ?
i suppose in a way this will benefit me too. as long as i do a good job, who do they ring in the future? probably me 😀 so in a way this work from national appliance care could help me build my customer base. When they pass the customer they don’t have any further input in to the job so they literally are passed to me and future work by these customers depend solely on the way my business does the repair.
hi
that’s great, so long as they re call you back for your efforts
for the future , then this can only help your company, good luck to you if this get you in the door, 😀 but at £20 a pop to get them first you could do a lot of self promotion before you spent that much finding them? in the first place, canufixit

KeymasterRe: National Appliance Care ?
my gripe with work providers, that has been covered on this site many times, is if they pay you peanuts, and you go to work for them for these small offerings your are in the bigger scheme of things slowly eroding the long term success of your own customer base, which is the foundations of your own strong company.
whilst short term it looks like you are doing ok out of this type of work long term as my accounts will tell me.(by the way I don’t work for anyone that pays this money , never have, which so far has been 28yrs)
year on year my company grows, and its a fact that this works better.
stop letting other work providers run your success into peanut offerings,no crumbs for me sir, I want to eat well.

ps, not having ago at anyone just trying to help others 😀

KeymasterRe: National Appliance Care ?
It really is a swings and roundabouts way of getting work. If you don’t fit parts you make a loss on your usual charges, but still get say 70-80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. If it is BER then I get say £49.50 – their £20.00 =£29.50 + VAT, which is £4.50 more than my usual charge
no van of mine is moving off my drive for this money,
but if it works for you then good luck?
£20 per job loss no not for me.admin
