Re: Whirlpool ADP8693 does not heat up

There are 4 or 5 different things that could cause the problem you have and it is not possible to make an accurate diagnosis of your problem without first having a hands-on with your appliance…

Think about engaging the services of an Appliance Engineer

Sounds like you have more than one problem on your machine and should seek assistance from an appliance engineer.

Get in touch with Rogue Traders and they’ll normally investigate…

Thank’s for the heads-up though as he is not too far from me.

Re: New Fridge – not getting particularly cold

It does sound like the fridge is faulty, but I would check your thermometer first… also, check that the 10cm mentioned is not 10mm, and if it isn’t you could always contact Electrolux to see if it is a typo

Have you checked the neutral tab on the pcb? These have a habit of burning out the tracks…

This machine is supposed to have an LED display that will indicate abnormal operations via error codes… has there been no error codes?

Maybe I’m biased but I would prefre the ISE… I love how quiet they are and I like the idea of ‘peace of mind’ in the 10 year warantee.

Only the obvious in that ‘heat is not being used during rinse’ .. Is the cabling for the pressure switch routed through the heater on that model?

Re: Bosch door not shutting properly- Please can you help?

Faulty hinges will prevent the door shutting properly and this will cause high temp and motor running constantly as the unit tries to cool itself.. this in turn will create loads of condensation.

Effectively, you should replace any faulty hinges to remedy.. another way to look at it is that if the problem isnt remedied soon then the cost of the excess electricity could soon mount to the cost of the replacement hinges.
