    Re: Bosch memory wipe

    Proberbly correct if the user tried to operate the machine with the motor unplugged (Depending on the model), which would be registered as a fault

    Re: 1606 bearing changes

    Are we still talking about the bearing change that you did in early February? If so, and you’ve used the correct bearing, I would say that it is near-on impossible to have a bearing become noisy that quick; unless of course you have nicked/damaged it during fitting.

    If the squeeking is not the belt, it may well be the seal if it is either dilapidated or dry; take some silicone with you. The seal is usually easy to push into place with a flat object and the stale of a hammer.

    trotter wrote:also the drum is not exactly central! How the hell do you get that front plate in the exact right position without the 3 legged tool as in the dvd? I spent ages trying to get it exactly right……seems I failed :-{

    As for the front plate; you could remove the cast weights and tilt the machine backwards. The plate aligns without any problems this way.

    Sounds like you’ll need an engineer to attend to your wash motor

    Are you sure the correct inlet is charging and that it is not being supplied too much water?

    You should have been looking for a faulty resistor not a capacitor
