    Re: Christmas 2012

Thank you Tracey and Ken for arranging such an excellent time. The beautiful setting and the excellent company, together with brilliant party-evening arrangements made the long journey well worth the effort.

Re: Moral Dilemma…What would you do?

    Back to the question..

Firstly check the module to see if the damage can be repaired..

If you need to change the pcb then yes, it will need programming and on these it is pretty simple..

Either way, I would explain to your friends about the foreign object and see what they say.. I shouldn’t expect that they would be too disappointed.. Don’t forget, the dishwasher was already broken.

It could be a simple heater relay problem. Trace the wiring to source.

Even a wiring diagram would help at the very least.

Now that’s a new one on me George. How does the machine’s level cause under fill?

Not exactly sure but I had the same problem when testing a bosch the other day… The problem I had was a gunged-up pipe and gunged-up pressure chamber and when both were sorted I then put the machine on test only to find that it then had a low water problem..
I then moved the machine to where it was a little warmer as it was starting to get cold. This area was a little more levelled and when I tried the machine again the problem had disappeared.. this did suprise me so I put the head of the hammer under the back end of the machine to test what I was seeing and low and behold, the the low water situation returned.

Maybe any of the bosch guys can explain.

Check the pipe running from the pressure chamber to the pump to make sure the pipe is clear..

Check the prssure chamber is not faultering 497570

Make sure the appliance is level otherwise it will under-fill and cause the issue you have reported.

    Re: What is

According to my Trading Standards office, I can sell a washer at £80 with a 1 month guarantee and a washer at £85 or over with a 3 month warrantee, and there is no problem.

With secondhand goods, if a customer accepts the length of your warrantee then they accept it under those terms.

It is best for you to change the door lock and the motor brushes… The seal need only be changed if it is damaged or mouldy.

    It is generally common sense.

    Re: What is

It is best to use the phrase refurbished when selling washers that have been repaired… As in, it has been refurbished with working parts, new parts, replacement parts, to make it into a working order again.

The general population consider that reconditioned means to put back into original condition.

    Re: Flame Failure Device

If your children started playing with the cooker knobs or you leant on the cooker knobs and accidentally turned one of them on, the FFD is designed to stop the gas because there is no flame there.

Imagine the situation if this scenario was the case yet there was no FFD fitted or it had been tampered with… gas could fill the room, and if undetected, would only need a light swith or something similar to ignite it, causing catostphic results.

A very small gas leak that is in the correct position could take down a whole row of houses.
