There are a couple of guys on here that are training people up on refrigeration regassing…

    Try R600a or Dales-Electronic.

    Re: Whirlpool /fridge freezer.

The problem you have is often related to capacitors on the appliance PCB that have come to the end of their life. When these capacitors fail they can no longer supply sufficient power to relays that switch and route power to fans and compressors etc. and these parts will then not work.

You need to have your board repaired.

It is possible that if you machine is not completely level, you could have a leak at the rear of your machine yet it is leaking out from the front.

    Re: Misleading?

Until recently I charged a £15 or £25 callout depending on where I had to callout to; however, 4 very wise men (They know who they are) convinced me that this was a bad practice, and that I should raise my callout to £45 and £65 with the callout being refundable against completed repair costs. I must give homage to those 4 guys.. I am several hundred pounds better off since our little chat. I actually get more work and less turnbacks by working this way..

I state that there is a callout charge of xxx, but it is refundable against completed repair costs.

If there is water in the machine then the water may prevent the door from opening. Is there any water in the machine?

If so drain the water by means of lowering the drain-hose to floor level, or, open the filter. (beware of the water if opening the filter).

*Warning* PCB repairs require professional attention … Not repairing correctly can cause fires or electric shocks.

This sounds similar to a few Whirlpool issues… Capacitors go weak, not creating enough power for relays to operate properly…

If the power going into the relay is low the capacitor that is inline before the relay may be the cause of the fault.
