Pull out the condenser and reach into the condenser housing until you can feel the water… Fish around in the water to remove any debris or fluff that is preventing the correct draining of the water.

Taking your information that:
there was a bang and some smoke with a strong burning smell
you should not have re-tried the appliance before having everything checked out.

I do these sorts of repairs on a regular basis… I would say that the success rate is about 70{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} .. but I only attempt the repairs on boards that do not require reprogramming, else they are reprogrammable without the need for additional devices. Though I must say, I find that there are few that would require reprogramming when this sort of repair is effected.
The trouble I find is having the enthusiasm to do the repair.. it is tedious and time-consuming.

Z0607 MAAnd the yellow componant is a K275 variable resistor

Te carbon equasion… yeah right… you give the scenario and I’ll throw a spanner to break it.
Thing is, just do your best to not create carbon wastage or carbon footprints and your doing your bit.

I have opted for Nochex.com which has a ‘Send Money’ option that the customer can fill in and is set up in such a way that you can take cards over the phone…. 2.9{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} + 20p but no monthly charge.
