    Thanks for the replies guys.

Not got in to turn circ motor by hand, but my feeling is that if it was jammed, then it would hum and get hot, which it’s not.

Thanks for that, John. Oven was on for a good 25-30 minutes. I monitored cycling of the element at the ccu and it was cutting in/out ok. Hinges ok. Oven is not that old, about 4 years, but she said it’s been like that from new.

Just to let you know guys, a new pressure switch did the trick. Many thanks to all who replied.

Same here. Been rushed off my feet now for about 3 months, after a fairly up and down first half of year. Been doing jobs that I hadn’t done for a couple of years, like elderly Hotpoint and Hoover Logic bearing repacements. Long may it continue. 😀

Thanks for the replies guys. I’ll give the pressure switch a go. After that, I’ll just cut my losses….

    Re: Hotpoint WD64

These washer dryers are very intolerant of high water pressures, especally when filling on a 40 degree wash when both hot and cold are coming in. Always managed to cure it by backing off the water pressures. Also, check the vent at the back for blockages.

Checked heater for continuity and insulation – both ok. Accidentally left the ntc plug off, and when I tried it, I got lights 3 and 4 lit. Put it back on and it reverted to the usual light 1.

    Re: Help new printer

I use a brother all in one machine, and quite honestly it’s the best printer I’ve ever had. Dirt cheap to run too. You can get 6 cartridges (compatible) mix and match for £15.54 from rubberfrog.com. Never had any blocked printer heads, unlike the Epsons that I had used for years and got increasingly frustrated by.

    Re: Bosch WFD2072GB/05

I seem to recollect that you will need a fitting kit to do a bearing change. It will enable you to screw the two halves back together Hotpoint WMA style. I know that is definately the case on some bosch models (the Bosch man told me so). I could be wrong though, so don’t quote me on it!

Could be 264574 “repair set” looking at quickfinder.

Thanks Lawrence. The reply was: a rather disappointing £129.1 😯 🙁
