Back in my hotpoint days I was working with trading standards putting faults on machines, these rogues where called out and their level of incompetence was unbelievable but was almost impossible to bring any action. Only 1 ended up in court and if memory serves me right he didn’t bother to turn up

Only option is a call to trading standards but unless he is ripping people off or doing dangerous repairs they won’t be interested. It’s very frustrating though

Our old hotpoint cooker was a nightmare for it, especially doing roasts.

Personally I wouldn’t, would the wiring be man enough for the extra current ?
