The engineer that appears on the clip is Mr Hossin Rabeiy of Wembley, trading as “Appliances Trader”.Who will no doubt be getting a letter from Whirlpools Lawyers in due course ,What I don’t understand is why they got an independent engineer to look at there new replacement dryer and didn’t call Hotpoint back in.
One things for sure I wouldn’t have stated the stuff he did on national TV.
I think itv will get a similar letter.Andy jones

I think most of us in the trade knew how poorly built these dryers are but I for one couldn’t imagine the horrendous situation it got to.
If I was querying my decision not to attend these then my mind has been put at rest.
Bet some engineers will be contacting the mirror to give their viewsAndy jones

This has turned into a major disasterThat depends on which way you look at it. Many will benefit from Whirlpool taking on the Indesit group. First of the losers could well be the Whirlpool Corporation.
Ken: Alice Beer referred to the guy as Jeff (Geoff?)
Wether it be from whirlpools point of view or from the poor souls that have lost houses I can only see a horrendous situation.
No longer a pr disaster it goes much deeper nowAndy jones

I think that’s the understatement of the year. Personally I’m not going to do any repairs on these until recalls have been done. Every call I get I’m making sure it’s not one of the affected appliancesAndy jones

How do you know you need brushes ? Easy enough job, I normally drop motor out but can be done by tipping machine back

Whenever I do a belt and shaft kit on those I slightly pre-stretch the belt. Wether it takes a little strain off the bearing or not I can’t be certain but the recall level is very low
